We have had this a couple months now and are very happy with it. We had an older model Holmes for about 10 years. The tanks on the old one were starting to seep and leak or we would still be using it. This unit is a little smaller but the tanks are a lot easier to fill although we have to fill them daily. The old unit held 7 gallons of water as compared to about 3 for this one. Lighter tanks means anyone can fill them pretty easy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Extremely effective, but noisy

I bought this to replace a "cool mist" humidifier that was filling my house with white dust. Living in Arizona, I've owned many humidifiers over the years. This one is the most effective at quickly dumping large amounts of H20 into the air that I've ever used. However, it is so loud on all settings that it is essentially unusable unless qualify of life is of no value to you (or you have a way to banish it to a place where it doesn't bother you). I run it at night when my bedroom door is shut and when I leave the house.
As others have reported, it can leak water on the floor if the reservoirs are disturbed. Once you get the hang of how to handle them, this doesn't seem to be a problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked great for 3 months and now motor is shot.... very disappointing

Low quality!

I bought this to replace a Holmes whole house humidifier I had and loved for over five years. This unit is very low quality, noisy and leaks terribly with even the slightest movement or uneven floor. DO NOT BUY this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought two of these last winter...I was unsure since they were not the most pleasant to the eyes and I would have liked something that looked nicer in the room. HOWEVER - these were the BEST ! They work great and they are easy to clean and fill...if undecided - give one a chance...
