Best washer we've ever had!

This washer is great. Very easy to use. Cleans everything perfectly and has enough settings to accomodate all our washing needs.

Vibration is a real issue

Vibration problems with most loads. Washer is level but still vibrates to the point you must hold the washer or pause to adjust the load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our LG steam washer makes me breath easier

We have had an LG frontloader for 7 years then we moved into a new home that came with a washer and dryer. I lasted four months before I wendt out and bought a new steam washer and dryer. I have asthma and I find the steam feature almost purifies my linens and breathing is much easier. I can't say enough about LG. I have always loved the way it washes. I am a quilter and I find it easy on my fabric. I really can't say enough about the quality of LG. We are very happy with our purchase.

Absolutely Convinced!

I purchased my Washer/Dryer set just under a month ago and I cannot stop marveling at how efficient and easy my laundry life has become. I can now wash both I and my wife's total laundry for a week in just two loads (1) colors and (1) whites. I have yet to complete what the washer considers a full load into the machine where my old top loader would take up to 4 loads. There's a lot to be said about the time saved not having to check to see "if" the clothes are dry, but just retrieving them when you get the melody that the cycle is completed. I can't stop bragging to friends and family about what used to be a chore and has now become a highlight of the week. I am extremely excited to recognize how much less water and expended energy is being saved with such an efficient pair. I have already recommended this brand and set to all my family members and friends alike. Easily the best purchase I have made this year and I look forward to enjoying them for years to come.

Vibration and shaking more than I would expect. It is situated on a balance and stable surface. The washer itself is leveled. Not sure if shaking (during spinning cycle) is due to the half piece of foam that is still attach to bottom of the washer or not. The foam seem to be attach (glue) to bottom of the washer. Unsure if this is to be removed as part of packaging or if it is part of the washer itself.

Mostly pros, a few cons

First off, this is definitely a well made machine. Feels solid and is fairly quiet while running. The chime when wash is done is pleasant-sounding -- a small feature but one I appreciate. Wash comes out very nicely, and I like to be able to choose specifics for each type of wash (i.e., cold water, steam, etc.)
The main con is the need to wipe down the rim after each wash. Re: odors -- I've just let the door stay open between washes and have not yet experience any smells. There is also water left in detergent drawer; to be on the safe side, I dump the excess and let that air dry too. I don't know if I'll remember to 'drain' the machine every month. Seems like a lot of upkeep when compared to my old top-load, but it's definitely a nice machine and probably one of the better made when compared to other brands.

I bought the washer when I bought the dryer and I thought my clothes were getting clean...but I didn't know how much cleaner they are. I definitely recommend this washer!!!
