This is my first front load washer and I have been amazed at the energy and water savings. I never knew clothes could get this clean with the small amount of water used. I'm sold and will not go back to my top load washer.
Pros: easy to use, Quality

A Very Good Washer - with one caveat

I've delayed writing about our new LG WM2655HVA washer since we purchased it in July 2012. I had some very bad luck with 2 machines of another brand (NOT LG ) and was just waiting for more problems with this one. Well I must comment this washer is really a good performer and highly recommend it. In a way it's a good thing the other brand failed so badly, it forced me to research on the new washers available and eventually deciding on the LG pair...Washes really well, clothes come out fresh and clean. VERY little HE soap needed and very quiet when washing. The one caveat is it's tendency to sometimes not get correct tub balance on spin up after rinse with wet clothes, mostly heavy towels and other heavy fabrics. Sometimes it detects and corrects itself and gets good balance no wobble or thumping, other times one has to stop it and let the clothes flop back into the tub and let it try again. If it fails to get balance 3x I'll open the door and untangle the material. When I don't want to watch the machine at each rinse/spin I'll use the Delicates cycle since this only does the spin of the clothes after the last rinse. The machine is level and very stable and does not move.. its just the wash tub sometimes may not get good balance on the way up to its high speed spin. Other than this I think its a terrific machine. Once the clothes are in balance the high speed spin works great and gets the clothes very dry, reducing dryer time greatly. As I write this the machine is in it's last spin now from a wash, barely know it's on and I'm 6 ft away from it. We have the matching stacking dryer, which all fits into a closet that was designed for a stacking washer dryer and looks really nice with its brushed stainless appearance. Overall a really good product. Would like to see a ' custom setting' like the dryer has! We also own an LG vacuum for past 2 yrs... works great too.!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, quiet

I was a little worried when purchasing a front loading washer since I had never seen one in use or used one before. I have been pleasantly surprised with its efficiency and cleanliness of clothes.
I also purchased the 7.3 steam dryer and stacked them (I also purchased a stacking kit) in my newly remodeled laundry room. They look great.
I would definitely recommend these products.

I'll never complain about doing laundry again!

I bought the front load washer with steam cycle options and could not be happier! I cannot believe how little water is used during the wash cycles and astonishingly, how little detergent I use now! My old top loading washer had a large tub and I felt like I never used enough as the clothes would never smell clean. Not anymore! Everything I wash comes out fabulous and clean and for a fraction of the cost of using a top loader. Thanks LG! And I love the chime at the end of the cycle - I practically dance to get my laundry now!

This washer is pretty and has several functions I use weekly. Placement of the detergent dispenser drawer is easy to reach and use. The door magnet is genius! allowing the washer to dry out and prevent or delay that "odor." Control panel is easy to read and use (left to right) and the illumination is very good. I use the allergiene cycle for sheets and diapers. Washing several "hand" or "delicates" every week it is nice to options! Best of all it is so quiet and stable -- no more "walking" across the floor.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
