Best washer I have had ever!

Our 7 year washer was in need to be replaced and we used to own a front loader and decided on a front loader again.
This washer is not only very quiet but fast, even though i have read that some people were stating it took long for the wash cycle but that depends on how dirty your laundry is. The laundry comes out almost dry and hardly needs to be in the dryer. I love the sound that it is playing when the laundry cycle is ending. This makes doing laudry more fun!

We've used the machine for a bit over a month, now. The best thing to say about it is that it does a fine job cleaning clothes. And I assume that it is doing as advertised re saving water, though there is no way to actually test that savings. It is a strange machine to witness: drum swinging back and forth to gauge mass via intertia; struggling (or so it seems) to toss the items inside in such a way as to allow fast spinning at the end of the cycle (on our first load--sheets and towels--it took some ten minutes for the machine to "discover" a mass distribution that allowed it to proceed); running for over five minutes before the clothes even begin to look wet! Pretty entertaining (for an engineer).

Fantastic quiet washing machine

This washing machine is almost dead silent. We only have a thin door between our washing machine and our living room and we can't hear it when we have the tv on.
I can't say if I've noticed our clothes being any cleaner or taking less time but I'm assuming it is doing a better job...never really had a problem before.
Pros: easy to use

The machine has an attractive design, is an effective cleaner, and is easy to use. I bought it without researching HE washers, so I was surprised by the amount of time it takes to wash a load using HE technology (45 minutes minimum for a normal cotton load; more than an hour for large, heavily soiled, or other "special" loads). However, I'm comforted by other reviewers' assurances that it cleans effectively, and I know it uses less water. I'm already used to the wash time, and am hopeful the direct-drive motor and quality of construction will help the washer to perform well for many years. Also, I stacked my new dryer on top of the new washer, thereby cutting footprint in half; works great.

Washer well worth the money

This washer is great. We have been looking to replace our aging topload washer with a front load for some time. We found this washer on sale and after checking reviews from various sources, we decided to purchase it. What a great washer! It performs as expected and does not use much water which is great for us as we have a well. It does take more time than a topload to do a load but the results are so much better and cleaner! Even old towels look new.

Horrible Washer

Own this washer now 3 months, had two repairs; they greased top springs. Washer DOES NOT HANDLE TOWELS or JEANS at all when spinning. Must baby sit, and constantly stop machine and redistribute load, otherwise machine tub shakes so much.. Would Never Purchase another LG Product Ever Again!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
