this washer use little water dose a great job all features work very well . this is our 4 machine best one yet. would buy this one again. wife loves doing wash now. steam settings work very well.

Does a good job of washing. A little concerned about the fragile touch control buttons after what happened with the dryer, but that goes into another review.

We took our time shopping for our new washer. After looking through competing brands, we finally landed on the LG. Our purchase was immediately reaffirmed when the delivery/installation company (who actually worked for a competing brand) expressed their respect for LG washers - "this is going to last you forever, we only ever install these, we hardly ever take them out".
So far the washer has performed incredibly well. We wash a large range of loads - varying from cloth diapers to duvet covers. The range of wash options has comfortably covered all of our needs.
In terms of concerns, I was originally most worried about potential noise (after reading that the WM3470 is quieter, per consumer reports). Noise has absolutely not been an issue - this washer is significantly quieter than our older top-loading washer ever was. Our laundry room is adjacent to our bedroom - we wash loads at night and have never been bothered by any noise.
Very happy with our purchase, looking forward to many years of use from our new washer.

A great washer

So far, so good. We have had the washer for one month and done many loads. It gets the clothes clean, treats them gentle and is easy to use for normal loads. There are special features that are good but will require reading the manual as the controls are not intuitive. Contrary to other reviews, there are no bad smells. We always leave the door open to let it breath after a wash and that's the secret to not having odors, mold, etc. The machine seems to be well built, sturdy, but we bought the 5 year maintenance contract from our dealer anyhow because some of the bad reviews were scary. It seems difficult to find a good washer these days and we think this one is the best available. We did lots of research online first before deciding on LG and are happy with our decision.
When your wash is done, the machine plays a nice song for you. We love this and wish we knew what the tune was.
