Quickly boiling water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I drink a pot of tea every morning and I am amazed at how quickly the water boils on my new Induction cooktop. I've only had the cooktop for 2 weeks so I'm still learning. Yesterday I braised a roast in a cast iron dutch oven and had great results! I'm a fan..

Fast heat, precise control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this for 6 months now and it is an very good cooktop. The only quibble is with the markings. If you have less than perfect vision or the lighting over the cooktop is not bright it is hard to see the control markings. Additionally, when a pot is on a "burner" it's not easy to tell if it is centered. The single line across the center of each burner may look elegant but it's not very user friendly while cooking.

Awesome Induction - Lightning Quick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this cooktop a year ago and love how quickly my heating and cooking have become. Most all of the pots and pans I owned worked on my new cooktop and I only found myself needing to replace two or three items. The cooktop is on the "vocal" side in that it is very touchy if you put anything on top of it or if you touch the control panel just wiping it down (although this doesn't bother me). If there was anything I could change about this cooktop it would be to have 2 of the medium or large cooking surfaces instead of two of the smallest sizes. I tend to have larger pots and pans on my cooktop at the same time more often than two smaller ones. (Example - large spaghetti pots) All in all, I love my new cooktop and would highly recommend it to anyone considering induction cooking! I love showing it off to those who visit by showing them how quickly I can boil water. Love it!

Easy to use and reduced our cooking time by 1/3!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to replace an old Tappan range top from 1987. The package was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. The instructions were very clear and it was relatively easy to install. I did have to cut a larger hole in my countertop, but there's no way I could have expected it to just drop right in. Cooking on this is a real dream. We are able to cook faster and the induction feature makes our electric range "responsive" like a gas cooktop. In other words, changes to the heat levels on the burners are instant and immediately noticed in the pots. We primarily use this with our cast iron skillet, but we also have a set of Emeril stainless steel pots with a mixed copper base and they work fine with the induction, too.
There are two reasons I am giving this a 4-star instead of 5-star review. The first is because of the heat shield requirement underneath the cooktop. The angled heat shield has forced us to remove the drawer we had under our old cooktop, costing us valuable drawer space in our small kitchen. However, it has pushed me to attempt to build a pull-out cutting board, so there's that. Secondly, it seems that the sensors on the settings panel will sense anything put on top of them, which is annoying unless you use the Panel Lock function all the time. This means I can't rush and put down a spoon or a plate right in front of me when cooking because the thing will start sounding like a bus in reverse, reminding me of that time a bus backed over me in a parking lot.

A literal life saver for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When moving into a brand new house we had the builder replace the gas stove top with a Bosch Induction Cook Top.
I am extremely sensitive to gas fumes which literally could have made me extremely ill. The pleasure of cooking with the induction cook top is the instant heat temperature and a quick cool down when done cooking. The cooking temperature is extremely even and easy to adjust. Food is much better because of the even cooking.

An excellent product and excellent value

And it happens to be an excellent product as far as we are concerned. Really like the fact that there are no handles on the surfact. Since we were installing it over an existing older range, vertical clearance (depth) was really critical, and we were able to squeeze it. Could not be happier, and when the range finally dies we plan to replace with a Bosch product, too.
