too much time spent recharging & swapping

verdict is now in on how long each charge will last - about 2/3 the time of a duracell (1400/2000 mah). only 1350-1400 mah of power means they do NOT last long. too much time is spent swapping and recharging.
Duracell lists their mah -it's currently 2000, once was 2600.

Not enough battery life

I'm sorry, Rayovac, but these are pretty awful. They charge quickly, but they have less than 1/4 the life of a non-rechargeable battery. I bought a few packs of these to power all of the holiday led lights that we have around the house. 3 of these batteries will only last about 1 week in each of the light sets, which are on 6 hours per day. I'm constantly charging and replacing batteries and it's incredibly annoying.
I have another set of rechargeables and they last several weeks in these light sets. I've very annoyed that I paid money for these.

Only holds power for 4-5 months

I remember putting these batteries in a flashlight (fully charged), and then I didn't use the flashlight for several months. When I turned on the flashlight again, the batteries died, and I checked it with a multimeter. It was at 0.4 volts, which can cause permanent damage to NiMH batteries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Charger Stopped Working After One Week

Bought this brand new, charged up some batteries with it. A week later the charger stopped working (no lights at all, won't charge any battery).

Wouldn't purchase these again

I bought the AA Rechargeable, 2 of the 8pk that I purchased, roughly 5 months ago, still charge an hold a charge (not for very long, but better than the other 6). The remaining 6 batteries won't even charge anymore. Not with the Rayovac Brand charger for them, or the battery charger that I have that charges a range of different batteries, from NiCd, to li-ion, NiMH, etc and a range of different voltages. No matter what setting I put the charger on, it shows the battery being no good. Tested the batteries, and sure enough they are putting out nothing. I bought a 8 pack of Duracell rechargeable batteries, over a year ago, granted they are almost twice the price, and very well may be twice the price now, but they are all still working, holding a charge, and charging wonderfully. I recommend going ahead and spending that extra coin to get a better quality product so you aren't replacing these every 5-6 months. It'll save you money and a headache in the long run.

fabulous price compared to local store

I needd AAA rechargeables but could not find more than a pack in the local stores. I looked at the rayovac website and found them to be cheaper and could get them with quick delivery.
