Finally Solar that works

Received this product and charged it indoors at the window just for fun and it worked!! Love this product and would not camp travel or prep without it.

This is a really nice solar panel with battery storage. It is light - versatile - well built - useful for many types of situations including backpacking - boating - camping - general travel - around the house and yard. Nice design - style - engineering. Great for keeping all your gadgets juiced up and going. Go green - get this panel.

Very Happy!!!

Just purchased the SolarPanel 5+. Have used it at home as a test. Will be using it alot this summer while camping. So far, I really like the weight and the ability to adjust the angle of the solar panel. Everything that I have purchased from Bio Lite I absolutely love. Always recommend there products.

So far my Biolite products include the Campstove/kettle/grill and now the solar 5.
I wanted the option of the battery to ensure constant power as needed.
My main uses will be for camping and as an emergency power source.
The sun has been in short supply here until now but from the time I've used the panel its performed as expected.
The attachment options are great with the kickstand or using the grommets to thread a piece of paracord through meaning you can hang this sucker pretty much anywhere.
Material wise it seems very sturdy but of course there's always the chance of something hitting the panel face and that's when the quality will really show.
Some people mentioned a "light" cover to protect it which wouldn't be a bad idea but something that's attached to the unit itself like an ipad type case so you're not hunting for another piece of kit.
All in all the simple USB options and point to the sun set up is just an easy way to charge.
Yet another piece of gear from Biolite that works out of the box.

Simple and effective

Recently got this to get ready for summer and sunshine. With the winter and snow I charged it through the USB to start and keep it with me throughout the day when needing an additional charge on my phone or usually for others who need an additional charge. I am able to charge my iPhone fully. It charges my phone pretty fast, but and slower for my iPad Air 2. The sundial is very easy to use and helps dramatically line up the panel to be at optimal position. The arm is nice and sturdy where it can hang and stay in the same position or act as a stand. The indicator lights is a must for me and a great asset. I have already recommended this to several other people.
Only thing I would change is that the USB charging port, with it being so close to the panel, is hard to get a firm grip on to take in and out.

First solar panel

I just purchased Solar Panel 5+ because I wanted a way to charge my cell phone when we loose electric and when camping or emergency situations. This is the first solar anything I have gotten, I cannot get over how well it has worked to charge my phone. I just turned sixty so was a little slow to come around to this concept, but I'am totally sold now. Great product and will recommend to all who will listen. Thank You for all you do. ( I'am also going to get a base camp stove, it looks fantastic and I love to grill.

Great Experience

I love this thing! The Solar Panel 5 is awesome and will come in handy during my week in the back country in Yellowstone, I use my Galaxy S6 Active for everything when I camp and up to know its been very touch and go with power, even when I bring a brick charger. Now there are no worries, music, nav, camera, and reading will be easy!
