Great printer for the price for home use!

Printer was easy to set up for wireless interface with both a Mac & Windows computer. Very fast printing, with clear sharp fonts. It is a bit noisy - sounds like our refrigerator when the ice tray is filling - but honestly, after the first couple of times hearing it, we don't really notice it now. Very happy with the purchase.

This is a work horse for my office. Love it so much I bought the next model that stores a ream of paper in each tray. That's the only thing I don't like about this model it works me in supplying paper in tray 1. It is my second one, I thought it used the same size cartridges as my last Hl5400dwt. The new models do use the same cartridges except the hll6200 has a super cartridge that prints 12,000 Pages, I love it!

This is one reliable and well built printer. Having duplex AND envelope feeding ready to go as well, amazing. For such a low price, this reminds me of a smaller version of the old HP 4200 from 10-20 years ago, but less than 10% of the price. I haven't had any jams so far (couldn't say that for the HP!). Brother are making the best printers on the market nowadays.

Excellent Printer

We use the printer for general text printing and the print quality is very good. The printer was super easy to setup on our WiFi network. Equally easy to install is the Brother iPrint & Scan software for iPad and Brother plugin for Android phone. We would highly recommend this printer for home or small business.

Confusing

Perfectly decent black-and-white printer. But it's difficult to connect with your wi-fi because the instructions don't help. Ostensibly an LED display on the front leads you step by step, selecting the correct options. This is not easy. Don't bring this home unless the store leads you through the installation.

Relatively Quiet

Like the "Quiet" option. The HL5280DW (used for 7-8 years and performed well) was more noisy than is the HL-L5200 DW. Have always praised Brother printers for quality, support and reliability. Nevertheless, all things in nature obey Newton's Second Law of Thermodynamics, i.e., "Everything in nature is in a state of decay." The HL-L-5200DW is subject to the same law. I expect it to perform as well as its predecessor for as long as it did.

Smokin great printer!

I replaced a very good HL-1850 which I have had for over 15 years. The new HL-L5200DW is really fast and the print quality is terrific. I get great speed in both regular and 2-sided mode which I use often. The unit is lighter and better designed. That isn't surprising since you would expect improvement in 15 years. But the price was so good I just couldn't pass it by. I couldn't buy a drum and cartridge for the old unit for what I paid for this printer. This thing is smoking good! Highly recommended.

Nice printer, once you get through set-up

Had initial difficulty setting up with an ether net connection. For some reason, the printer wasn't recognized in windows 10 "add printer." After rebooting and trying again 3 or 4 times, it magically appeared. Love the ability to make duplex printing the default, and printing from my tablet throughout the house is easy with the Brother I-Print app. Quick, sharp printing. Very pleased.
