Fast Clear printing, Excellent

easily setup, clarity and quality of print is superb, feature are plentiful, cartridges seem to last quite awhile and programs and support are easy to use as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very fast printing and good quality

I'm very impressed with the speed of the printing. I'm a notary signing agent so I needed a fast printer with 2 trays. I still have trouble getting it to automatically decide to print legal or letter, hence the 4 star. If I could get that figured out it would be a 5 star. The quality of the print is great, nice and clean. It's also very quite while printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Malfunction

Everthing was working great. Then i kept getting error message that tray 2 had no paper even though it was filled. It will not print from thatntray at all.
Then istarted getting error message for tray 1, same thing, no paper. This i can get around by filling tray full and opening and closing the tray then it will print..

Will not print different size papers from the dual

Great for printing all one size paper, good quality, fast, and quiet, but will not print a file with a mixture of letter and legal sized papers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great price for home printer...

...however, this printer fails to produce a rich black. I am a retired graphic artist and for years I used an older model Brother printer which gave me the solid black I needed on vellum. This one does not, but do not fear. For general use printing text it is an excellent printer!

Very reliable, perfect for notaries

I bought it becasue I need to have my pdf set to auto, itmenas it selects which try to use automatically basedon the documents' settings. So, for notaries printing mortage packages this printer is thw best choice for several reasons. It is laser and it will save money on ink if you print hundreds of pages a month (vs. inkject) and some lenders will not accept loan documents printed on inkjets. Second it switches automatically between legal size and letter/A4, and that was the main reason why this printer is great. You need ot set to auto in your pdf doc printing settings and you need to set your trays 1 to legal (smaller one) and one to letter (lower tray) and you will be good to go. I know from other users that these printers form Brother can run for years. It is also a good printer for small business where you share your printer on wifi network.

I love the duplex option and dual trays. Helps save on paper. Would love it if this printer was multi-functional with a scanner and copier.
