Disappointed

I was really excited to get the Health box. I thought it would be good to have everything sync up. Not sure why but that never worked for me. The only thing UA Record will sync with is MyFitnessPal. Neither the heart rate band nor the UA band will Sync with MapMyRun. The Heart Rate band didn't even work. So if you want to do a run, you either have to use the UA Band (which is horrible for running, I walked a mile and it logged .44) or us MapMyRun. Then on to the scale. I got on three different times back to back and the weight went down over 4 pounds. Then my Body Fat came up at 27% but the next morning I was 19%.
Sadly very disappointing as I was very excited to not only get the health box but the Gemini Record shoes. I will be taking everything back this weekend.

UA Health Box gear is great!

Ordered my UA Health Box thinking it would ship on 2-15-16 and then found out it would be here in 3 days. I was pumped! Got it on 1-29-16, it was in a big black box and 2 of the 3 stickers holding it shut were already up. Wife was like hope it has not been opened. Inside was the RED box that it comes in, this is a very nice box but I notice the tape that seals this box had been cut and new ones were put over the top of the old cut ones. Opened this box and there it all was the great gear I was waiting on! The scale was in a plastic bag that had been opened and reclosed with scotch tape this did not look good. But I kept going trusting this gear was going to be good. Just wish if they had to go back in after it had been packaged they would have left a note saying why or something. I already had the UA Record app on my phone so I ran through the quick start guide they provided and BOOM they were all synced to the app in no time. I weighed myself and got a notification on my phone right away! I then had to go for a run! I started the run from the UA Band and this was very easy. I could not see the display on the band very well with my sunglasses on. Got home and found there are 3 brightness settings which is nice. Tracked the run great, the only thing I did not like was there were no splits and times recorded on the run. Also did not know the UA Heart Rate was not going to be working unless it is started from the UA Record app. It was comfortable on the 6 mile run and I have ran and worked out in the gym a few times now and have no issues with comfort of the UA Heart Rate. I have found they all work very well together and you just have to find a happy medium and the way you use them together. I start my morning gym workouts from the UA Band and watch the heart rate zone light on the side of the band this is all great. Then I like tracking my runs in Map My Run so that I get all the nice info. I also make sure the UA Heart Rate is synced on UA Record before I take off and it collects the heart rate data. I have not found anything that tells you what the best way to use your stuff together this is what I have found to work best for me. The last thing is that when buying the UA Health Box they say you also get a year MVP for Map My Run and a year Premium to MyFitnessPal these codes do not come in the box. I have still not got them. I have got an email like I only purchased the UA Band and it had a code for 3 months for both. I am still waiting on my 1 year codes. All and All I have been a huge UA supported for years and this gear is great! I love how it all works together and I can look at one App and see how I am doing on all parts of my fitness for the day. Thank you UA for these great products!

UA Healthbox is an all in one with steps in the right direction!
The Scales reviews are saying that it's not accurate, This is true a little I do it 3 times all will be about 2 pounds of each other with 2 of the 3 being off just by half of a pound. I believe one of the scale's update not to long ago helped with this issue.
UA band, 4 out of 5. works great, It's accurate good battery life. easy to use and sync. *Wish that it could do more and came in another color(free input from my wife).
Red and Black are my fav colors so I'm fine.
The Heart Rate monitor is great you forget you have it on it's so comfortable. Sync to the UA band and phone very easy.
Sync all the devices to the phone was easy and fast GO Android! Most of the sync issues are solved by simply turning off the Bluetooth on the phone then turning it back on. UA band put the band into airplane mode then back on. Some issues are bc we (the user) don't have the UA app on your phone on/working in the background which causes the sync issue.
*Getting the scale to connect to my Wifi and doing the updates was pain..... ended up having to doing:
Broadcasting my wifi SSID
Switch over to using 2.4GHz vs. 5GHz
let the scale update and sync a couple of times
Put my home network back to normal.
Total of maybe 30 min including updates, scale now works fine.
Over all this is a great all in one set-up! It's to help guide and assist you to your fitness goals. It gives you the information you need and places it in one location with UA App on your phone or tablet.
UA here are things I would like to ask for:
A couples' Healthbox deal. Two(2) bands, Two(2) heart monitors, and One(1) scale. This would have saved me so much trouble and maybe money.
Windows phone App and compatibility having your stuff across all Platforms is just the smartest and best way to reach everyone.
Thank you.

I am everything under armour. I have it all so naturally I could not wait to buy this. The scale took forever to set up and doesn't give the most accurate body fat count but it is a great scale. 5 stars for the app and the heart rate band. But the under armour band itself is where the biggest problem lies. "Easy synching" is the biggest lie listed on the page. It does not synch at all. Took me forever to finally get the thing in my wrist and stay and 3 days later it breaks. They say they'll ship me out a new strap for it but come on.400$ and it last 3 days?? I don't think they know how infurriating this is. You buy a product can't wait to use it then have to wait longer to reship a piece that shouldn't have broken in the 1st place. Shotty craftmenship.

I was really excited about this product, but I should have read the reviews. I don't even know if Heart Rate Monitor strap works, it doesn't display anywhere - phone or band. The scale is great but just won't sync with Record. I've tried forgetting itmultiple times with no luck. Just keep getting a Wifi error. The band is no better than my Apple Watch. I should hve just bought the scale, so far it seems accurate. The HealthBox just does not integrate with each item like it says.

A bit disappointed.

first off we noticed the scale will give you 3 different readings when you take 3 consecutive readings. I don't know if it doesn't distribute the weight well or what. It's fairly big and there's more surface area to stand on, but slightly changing feet position will always yield a different result which can be +- 1.5 Lbs either direction from the middle.
Next the band...I like it. It's a bit more bulky than I'd like but overall I liked it. However after a couple weeks it quit communicating with my phone. At first I thought it was the phone so I rebooted it. But it still wouldn't connect. So I went thru the band menu, and shut off the band. When I turned it back on it got stuck in a continuous reboot cycle. It comes on, then immediately reboots.
The band seems to track sleep really well. I was very impressed with the accuracy in which is did this.
The UA Record app needs A LOT of work. Many bugs in it from incorrect scaling, to not being able to edit workouts from the band or sleep from the band. I had one night the sleep feature only tracked 2 hours so I tried to fix it and ended up giving myself 9 hours. The charts and trends themselves are very generic and don't give you much in the way of customizing them to be more useful.
What I do like is that the App syncs to the other UA apps and there you can find some better graphs and info. I'm just not sure why I need 3 apps to do the job 1 app should do?

Why I am returning my UA HealthBox today three weeks.
on March 8, 2016

I’m not sure where to start. I did my homework and had certain expectations. Perhaps it’s my fault for building this system up in my mind, but I want to share my experience with anyone thinking about dropping $400 on this. I wanted to get a more in-depth picture of where my health is at.
What I expected:
I expected to have a seamlessly integrated system that used age, gender, weight, BMI, sleep, workout intensity, heart rate, daily activity and diet to create a one-stop source for my own personal biometric data. I don’t know why, perhaps I read it in a speculative review, but I expected some kind of analysis, and I remember reading somewhere that the software, UA record, would use integrated analysis to provide feedback, or at least suggestions. I expected to see my heart-rate over time for my workouts, such that long runs would show a steadily increasing heartbeat over the miles, or to be able to see heartrate versus geographical location or elevation, ect. For a workout at the gym I expected to be able to see my heart rate go up and down in short succession as I completed weight-lifting sets and moved between muscle groups. I expected to be able to glean some insight here. Would it be better to do more reps with less intensity, or do less reps with more intensity? What does my heartrate, BMI, diet, and age say on the subject? I had already been using MYfitnessPal, and so I was excited that the ap could syc with this software (that UA apparently just bought). For how much cardio I do, should I eat more carbs and less protein? For how much I lift weights, should I eat more protein and less carbs? We’ll let’s just fire up the old UA record ap and see what the biometrics say right?
What I found:
The scale is inaccurate and imprecise in regard to body fat percentage. Standing on it 5 time in 5 minutes produces 5 different readings that can vary as much as 2% in either direction. BMI as determined by bioelectrical impedance is notoriously inaccurate, but it should at least be consistent. It has the weight down OK, but that’s not why you spend this kind of money on a scale.
The band functions really well, but it soon began to fail at logging workouts in the UA record ap. This is a deal breaker. If I can’t record my workouts then I can’t track or analyze my fitness. The band is synced mind you, sleep and pedometer readings are uploaded just fine. At first it was just sporadic; I would lose a few workouts here and there. However, when I went to manually log the missing workouts retrospectively, it would seemingly double count pedometer steps such that the ap and band no longer showed the same amount of steps. I contacted UA support and they said they were aware of the issue and that it would be addressed in a software update in March 2016. So, I waited because I really wanted this system to work. Finally, on March 7th, the ap updated the firmware in the UA band. But alas, it made the problem worse. All of my workouts were showing up in the feed (UA’s facebook-esc interface for sharing workout stuff), but none were now showing up in the main UA record interface, and they appeared incomplete as if the UA heartrate was not connected. In regard to the pedometer, it underestimates my steps during a run by about 40%, which is significant. During normal activity, it seems accurate.
The UA heartrate seemed to perform adequately. It’s not as uncomfortable or awkward as you might expect. It syncs easily with the band. It is a little unexpected that it cannot sync with the UA record ap AND the band at the same time, or that you get different types of data in either case.
The UA record ap is where the biggest disappointment is. I expected to see much greater detail about all of my data. The sleep monitor is the only thing I was truly impressed with, but looking around the internet, UA is not the only one to get this right. Let’s start with the nutrition. There is nothing here! You select light medium or heavy consumption. That’s it. Maybe some people don’t want to log every food item, but this should be made available. I don’t get it UA, why would you buy MyFitnessPal, the most in-depth nutrition tracking ap out there, then sync it to your UA record ap, and do NOTHING with it? Nothing you do in MYFitnessPal shows up in the UA record ap. What’s the point of syncing it? The pedometer is OK. It always matches with the band. The biggest problem is the workout log. This is just plain underdeveloped. There is no selection for weights, and there is no good way to look at the data. You can go onto the feed (again trying to be workout facebook) and see overly simplified metrics from a workout. You see the distance, time, max heartrate (that’s it just the one number; so much for the benefit of wearing a $100 heartrate monitor), and some arbitrary metric of “willpower” with no explanation of what it is. You cannot see your heartrate across your workout, and there is no integration of this data or analysis in any way. No suggestion, no feedback. There’s not even a “you’re in shap” or a “you’re fat” assessment. All you see is that you ran five miles. …I know, I was there! In short, this is $400 system to log data that you could do for free with two fingers and a clock.
Look UA. I gave this a fair shot. I really wanted it to be worth it, but it is just not anywhere remotely close to developed let alone ready for release. I’ll consider a system like this in the future, but you better come correct if you want people to drop that kind of money. It’s not THAT you collect data, it’s what you DO with it once you have it. I think it’s more likely that a competitor will see what you could have done with this system and then execute more effectively.
Kind regards,
Adam

I love this product!!! Switched from another brand

I am a female in my mid-thirties, have run marathons, spin a lot, weight lift. I get about 15-20k steps a day, just for background. I have been using a different brand for three years, but constantly ruined them with my sweat. I was intrigued that UA markets this for athletes, so I bought just the band. I'm in love!
Some people say the display isn't great, but I don't know what they're talking about. I have zero complaints!
Great benefits:
-you can set the alarm/timer/stopwatch from the watch band itself! No app required!
-vibrating alarm is great! I use it so I don't wake my husband up when I get up to work out. If you don't turn it off, it goes off again in ten minutes- great if you miss it.but I'm a heavy sleeper and haven't yet!
-It toggles between screens really easily, and you can tell it what kind of workout you are going to do on the band - no app required!!
- charger attaches easily, and thus far I haven't ruined this band with my profuse sweating during workouts (I went through about 5 of the other brand that begins with an f)
-comfortable band that stays on securely, not too bulky
-I didn't want a crazy smart watch, just a workout/health product and this does everything I want. It will do some text alerts or something if you set it up, if you wanted
I have no negatives. Only advice for second round of product:
-should be available for smaller wristed people
-neat if it came in different colors
But, this is an awesome product, I'm so happy, and will definitely buy the heart rate monitor separately when it comes out! The Record app is very motivating and engages me to work harder, even have rest days. Great products for people who are athletes. Thanks, UA!
