Wish there was an update

Well I gave the scale a go for a year now and it is just a bad performing device. Will never sync even with the app open and standing right in front of the scale. Have rest it to many times to count. Sadly I expected more from HTC. The band is good. Nothing separating it from other bands but it performs well in my use. The heart rate monitor works fine as well.

Design flaw in UA Band
on March 17, 2016

I will say that the ease in setup is awesome. All the electronic features of all of the items work great and sync very well to the app!
However, there is a design flaw in the UA Band. After about 3 weeks of use, my UA wrist band just fell off my wrist. I noticed that the band had come apart at the joint where changeable band attaches to the actual unit. I reattached the band and with minimal movement of my wrist, it fell off again. I was using the default band length that came attached to the unit.
I went home and tried to attach the other band length to see if it would stay put. I put it on my wrist and it too came unattached at the joint with very little wrist movement.
I have not yet contacted UA about this design flaw. I'm most certain they will take care of the problem, but wanted to put this out there so that others are aware and can make an educated decision when they purchase.

Excellent First Effort

UA Record makes this. But - UA needs to make an effort to combine all apps. Its too messy as it is with lots of apps everywhere.
Scale needs to be be better - see Garmin
UA Band needs to be improved on the next generation
HRM is good.
Overall - with UA Record s excellent.

Great product, but not without flaws. Lacks some core features found in other trackers.

I was excited to test the UA HealthBox after attending CES 2016. I purchased the Health Box and I did like the product, but the fact that it was missing some core features disappointed me. Steps tracking was quite accurate compared to Apple Health. Sleep tracking was also pretty accurate compared to Sleep Cycle (an iOS app). What really bothered me were a few things that mattered to me, but may or may not matter to other people.
First, the UA band does not have continuous heart rate monitoring. It provides a one-time heart rate reading, or on-demand when you want your heart rate. Your heart rate isn't tracked continuously unless you wear the UA Heart Rate Monitor, and this only works during a work out.
Next, there are integration/sync issues I encountered. You can't start a work out on your phone, - you have to do it from your UA Band. You have to sync your steps/band data before midnight or else you lose that data. I also wanted to link MapMyFitness, but continued to have errors between that app and UA Record.
Those were the two main concerns I had with the product. Other than that, UA has done a great job so far.

Waste of money

The items are discontinued, I purchased items 6-months. Scale is over priced, and wristband is poorly made. From a technology standpoint there are too many flaws to list for both.

Great idea, poor execution

I'm a big Under Armor fan and decided to choose Health Box out of all the wearables on the market. Main reason, apart from the brand, is the really great app and the fact that it syncs with My Fitness Pal.
I've been using the Health Box for two months now and I've given up on it. While the app is great, the Heart Rate Monitor has connectivity issues. The scale is the biggest disappointment and a cause of daily frustration. The weight is always different by a pound of two if you step on the scale second or third time. And you often have to step several times because the scale has connectivity issues as well.
The UA band is ok, but it's really annoying to charge - and you have to charge it often due to below average battery life.
Again, I love Under Armor but I can't recommend this product to anyone and would like to return it after giving it the most generous try.

Will a waterproof version be created?

I was totally sold on this set-up, until I read that the wrist band and heart rate monitor are only splash and sweat proof. One of my best and favorite ways of exercising/working out is by swimming, in a pool, the lake, or the ocean (and SCUBA diving, too). It would be HUGELY beneficial if this set-up was waterproof (even if not at pressure while diving), since aquatic exercise is amazingly efficient at resistance training, too!
The instructions say to "Wear it all the time." but you can't wear it in the shower, either (which can also provide detailed cardiac feedback)!

Just not there...had potential

I have had many fitness bands. This one is just average. It fails to stayed synched but is tolerable. The scale is, well a scale, nothing special there and also has synch issues. The heart rate band is just a joke. It has never stayed synched and it also turns off randomly. I guess that could be the battery, but hey, it is new, so why should that be an issue. Overall I am very disappointed in the package. It is way undependable and just adds complication and unnecessary hassle to my workout...not what I had expected obviously, especially for the price.
