LEAKS

This leaks. Absolutely nothing can be done about it. Aside from running a hose into a bucket or outside. I was told to run a hose outside by their customer service. No indicator light. No other way to empty this besides unplugging and unhooking it and rolling it outside to dump. Which has to be done daily. Absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money spent. Customer Service is severely lacking. There should be something done about this product and the customers impacted because of this.

DONT BUY THIS

I wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased this. I have the same exact problem. I have hooked up the drain hose, it fills a bucket with water and still was leaking underneath which I didnt notice until I saw the water stains on my downstairs ceiling. They are telling me there is a drain "underneath" and I need to be sure it is secure. I cannot lift 61 lbs to get underneath. I would have to pay for a service call if I want a tech to look at it. Not worth it. Going out to the junk pile but I hope these reviews at least stop someone else from experiencing these difficulties.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for temp fix!

Our central AC went out--the compressor. Due to supply chain issues, it's been weeks without AC. It's fall but fall in KY is hot, cold & everything in between. I borrowed this from an in-law (thankfully!!) and it's been a life saver. Being part polar bear, and liking it cold in the house, was rough to manage recently but this is truly a God send.

Does its job well

Purchased a number of years ago for our cabin. Does a good job with cooling the house down. Definitely recommend always using a drain hose. Seems to actually pull more humidity out of the air than the dehumidifier itself which is good.

Keeps leaking!

I can’t figure out how to drain it and it keeps leaking! Judging from the reviews it looks like it has to be done daily?? Who has the time or patience for this? It has already ruined an expensive rug from the leaks. Do not recommend.

Great product for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this air conditioner this past summer, and it was a life saver. Our house stayed cool, and it didn't run up out electricity bill despite running 12-8 pm daily. Would definitely recommend to others.

My Review for LP1215GX portable air conditioner

My unit ran good the first month then stopped blowing cold air. Everything runs great on it but it just doesn't produce cold air. From all the reviews that I've read since, I guess it is it or miss on these units. I think it is lacking refrigerant (R410A) It is suppose to come with 19.2oz installed. I think my unit had 0.2oz. I can't recommend or rate this product accurately until I find out if it can be fixed, how well it works when it is fixed, and how much it will cost to fix my unit when it should never have needed to be fixed to begin with.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, easy to use

Extremely disappointed!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 2-3 years ago and it worked fine, but then it stopped cooling. Took it to an appliance repair shop. The repairman said the lines inside were rusted through. He also said this was pretty common with LG Portable Air Conditioners. Never again will I buy another LG appliance as long as I live. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
