I love this air conditioner!

My husband picked this out and it is great!!! It definitely cools down the room. It is a little loud when it kicks on when on power saving mode, but other than that its great!
Pros: easy to use, Performance

Destroying my carpet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I would have gotten a window unit. This thing is leaking out water all over my new carpet even though I have a hose hooked up to the water drain. It cools well be that dosnt make up for the destruction of my carpet.

Bad experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to cool my bed room after my main air conditoner stopped working. My room is only 150 to 200 square feet and this portable air conditioner with a 400 foot cooling area could not get it cold in the room during the day time. It worked ok at night. But then there was a leaking problem. I would pull the plug and drain the unit every 4 hours of so and only a about 4 oz came out. It leaked all over a ceader chest i had put it onto for elevation. I took it off there set it on the floor and drained it again. A few hours later it had leaked all over the place. Not just the little 4 oz I got out but what looked to be about 16 oz of water. I the bought a hose and ran a direct drain to the outside of the house and it still leaked all over my floor. I had enough with this product and returned it to the store where it was purchased.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

does the job and won't fall out a window

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with this air conditioner. It does the job and doesn't take up too much space. No worries about it falling out a window or us falling off a ladder. At the end of the season it fit nicely in our closet under the stairway. If we have to leave for a week or so during the season it comes out of the window and the window gets locked. Price was not too bad either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this room air conditioner for a bonus room upstairs in my house which I use as an office. The room is over the garage and always warm and very hot in the summer even with the house AC running. This keeps the room extremely cool and I don't have to run my house AC in order to keep the office cool now. It's efficient and works great! Love it!

Unfortunately dissapointing

We purchased this LG in-home air conditioner at the beginning of summer, however in approx. 3 months it was malfunctioning. The condensate pan was overflowing on to our floors while the electronic/digital display was not shutting the device down automatically as the directions indicated it should. The cord was surprisingly short, and the exhaust interface with the window was cumbersome and took up a great deal of space in the room. Overall a disappointment. It is scheduled for a repair with our local LG certified repair representative this next week.

Didn't realize so Loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a air conditioner for the couple of summer weeks that it gets really hot here in Western Washington. Wasn't sure how loud it would be but decided I could live with a little noise.
