Dishwasher heat stopped working within two months. Refrigerator also broke within 2 months.

Does not dry the dishes!

So disappointed in this expensive dishwasher! Just bought the full suite of GE Cafe Appliances and only used the dishwasher a few times now. After the cycle completes with the heated dry on it looks like there was a bucket of water just thrown inside the dishwasher! I have to leave the door wide open to air dry or take the dishes out and dry them by hand.
Also the inside gasket wasn't in place correctly when it was delivered and installed. When I pulled the top Rack out for the first time it caught the gasket and pulled in out of the track. We were able to put it back in the track but again not something you'd expect in a dishwasher at this price point.

Nightmare!!! I would have put a zero!! Bakes on any left residue or food on dishes including the detergent! Repairman can’t find anything wrong with it !!!! Complete joke! I’ve never had issues with dishwashers!!!!

Blame the Feds

We had this model in our previous home and the Profile version now. It works very well for what it is allowed to be. I say this because many of the complaints I see come from people who are replacing a much older unit.
Newer dishwashers don't work as well. This is because of the Federal government mandating less and less water and energy use. So the cycles take forever, but the water being sprayed has debris in it because the Feds say you can't keep flushing it out.
Further, the heated dry doesn't work well to save energy. Our solution is just to open the door and pull the top rack out 6 inches and close the door and let the air finish the job.
You can also try the sanitize cycle as I think it both cleans better and gets the water hotter so that it dries faster under the heated dry mode. But it adds even more time.
It's sad that dishwashers now require so much pre cleaning of dishes when 15 years ago they didn't. I don't understand how this saves any water or energy as we use hot water to rinse everything before it goes in and clean dirty knives with a dish brush first to make sure nothing is stuck. But things are only going to get worse as the Obama administration put through even stricter requirements that will be implemented soon.
As for the quality issues, every manufacturer has them and when people experience them they write reviews. I've had many GE appliances over the years and the only one that broke was a recent over the range microwave. In various houses I've had 7 refrigerators, 5 dishwashers and various ranges, ovens, microwaves, washers and dryers so one failure out of dozens of units isn't the end of the world to me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nothing but problems since installed

We bought this dishwasher as apart of our GE Cafe appliances for our remodeled kitchen. It has not worked well from Day 1.

Needed a counter top microwave. This completed the look of my cafe kitchen. Fits in a smaller space. Can be converted to an above range with kit.
