Control Panel Failed in First 90 Days

While I am pleased with how quiet this dishwasher is, I am very disappointed to have to report that the control panel completely failed within 90 days. After reading some of the other reviews, I see that this is a common problem. The LCD screen is completely blank preventing you from seeing what cycle the dishwasher is prepared to use.

Cleans great but won't dry.

I bought this dishwasher when I built my house. Seems to clean well, but it will not dry my dishes.

Nothing But Problems

In the first 3 months we have had to replace the display panel, rinse aid dispenser and the pump. I wish GE would come and take this dishwasher and give us a new one. There obviously mistakes made during the production of this unit.

Defective - no drain

This was a product service exchange for a previous Cafe DW (also defective and repaired 3x). After 30 days this one required a full control and wiring harness change and a new pump! The upper silverware rack is extremely sad with difficultly in sliding in/out, and extremely poor washing (leaves stains and specks of food). Only positive so far is that it's black stainless panel looks nice.

Wanted to love this dishwasher

Just had this dishwasher installed a week ago, and it's already gone bad. When it was working, it was awesome! The dishes were clean and the unit is very quiet. Not impressed with the drying feature, as my dishes were still a little wet. (And yes..I used the normal cycle and I have rinse aid in the machine).
Not the display panel is not working. I went to select my wash cycle and nothing appears. I've reset the dishwasher, turned of the breaker panel, etc. and the display is still not showing. This is totally unacceptable for a machine that is a week old AND for the amount of money spent on the appliance. I regret this purchase.

Horrible experience with this dishwasher

I have had nothing but trouble with this dishwasher. The control panel doesn't work - the screen can not be viewed and has failed twice now in the two years I have owned this product (the first time under warranty and the second time under a "parts warranty" which you may wonder what this means...it means - you will be charged for a service call plus labor to repair/replace the defective part). A defective part should be fixed for free if under the warranty for the part or perhaps with a small charge for the service call. To charge labor on top of such a fee is unconscionable. My mechanic doesn't do this when an issue arises with my car - why should we stand for such issues here. As to the product itself - there is no short dishwasher cycle that does a decent cleaning job - most cycles take over 3 hours. Add to that if you fail to put on the dryer (to try to shorten the time) - you can end up with mold in this dishwasher unless you promptly take the dishes out and dry them. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere - there are much better brands for same price and better quality - longer warranty. Overall a terrible experience - consider alternatives.

I expected more for the price

I have had this dishwasher for about 3 months now and I have only 3 complaints.
First, the top panel seems like there is a film of plastic over it BUT, there is not one. So I have bubbles in the panel that make it look cheap.
Second, The cycles take FOREVER!!!
Third, even with all the heat settings turned up and on, it does not totally dry the dishes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
