I love this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Vornado Air Circulator! I have a 3 story house and the top floor gets hot in the summer. The air-conditioner in my house just doesn't do much on that top floor. This machine makes it comfortable. I had never heard of Vornados before and was given one to try. I am a believer! My 3rd floor is my "play" room and I am able to be up here sewing and computing in comfort. I have it plugged in across the 15 foot room and if I begin to feel a little too warm, I just raise the speed with the remote. It is lightweight enough to move closer, but I don't have a spare outlet. At this point, I haven't had to need to move it closer and we've had 90 degree days this week. I would recommend this to everyone!
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base
Cons: None I'm aware of.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Moves the air! Would highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box I was impressed. Very easy to assemble. Packaging was sturdy but I was still able to extricate the Vornado from the box without the jaws of life. Fan is quiet and moves a LOT of air. I was suspicious of the non oscillation at first but got right over that after the first minute of use. Sometimes we have to turn it off because the room gets chilly from the air movement. Reaches everywhere in our 550sq ft room where we use it. A pleasant surprise. Thanks Vornado for such a great product!
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base

Most powerful fan I have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is simply the most powerful fan I have ever owned. It has the power of a shop fan, in a thin, attractive tower. And even though it's thin and tall, the base is very large giving me no concern of it tipping over. I was initially disappointed that it didn't oscillate, but the adjustable vent really does give it the ability to open the breeze up to the entire room, or direct it right at the couch. I also appreciate that this fan is able to be taken apart for cleaning - I have two cats and no matter how hard I try to keep their little fur tumbleweeds under control, they always manage to find their way inside the fan. My major complaint regarding Vornados I've owned in the past is that they were one solid piece, but this once simple feature definitely extends the life cycle of this fan in my house. This fan also comes with a remote, which I initially thought was dumb, but it's actually very nice to be able to adjust the speed and toggle it on and off from the comfort of my couch. I figured it'd go into my bin with all the other useless remotes, but I use it daily and don't think I've used the control panel on the fan itself since the day I received it. My only complaint is that on the highest power setting, something within the fan does start to rattle. I've tried several things to try and fix it with no luck and am unsure if it's a flaw with my particular fan or the design itself. While an annoyance, the highest setting is just too powerful for my medium-sized living room anyway, so I don't actually use it. Perhaps in a larger living room where the highest setting would be utilized, you wouldn't be close enough to the unit for it to be noticeable. Otherwise, it is surprisingly quiet, especially considering the amount of air it's circulating. I definitely recommend this fan to anyone looking to cool an entire room. I usually put in a window AC unit during the summer, but so far find this as a suitable alternative, not just a complement.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Good Power Output, Stable Base
Cons: Loud

My new favorite air circulator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time I've used a Vornado, and it is a great product. It is tall, thin, lightweight, easy to move around (with a hand hold at the top), and is fairly quiet. It was simple to put together, as the only pieces that had to be put together were the four pieces that made the base for the fan to stand on. The base is plastic, and I was a bit concerned that it might not be durable, but each piece snapped together easily, and so far I have had no problems. The remote is handy, and I like the adjustable air outlets that eliminate the need for oscillation, as well as multiple speeds to choose from. There is a liberal warranty in case of any problems. Overall I am very pleased and would purchase this brand again.

Don’t recommend unless you don’t mind constant rattling noise

I have used Vornado products for many years. I am super disappointed in the quality of this fan. It rattles constantly! Vornado was great about sending a replacement, unfortunately the one they sent was damaged and the stand didn’t work. They then sent another. It rattles too despite assuring me their quality team would inspect it before shipping. Quality has gone downhill.

Too noisy
on December 19, 2017

This fan is way too noisy. There is an annoying vibration / humming constantly coming from this fan. This makes it not suitable for bedroom use or anywhere else where you want quiet operation. This is the first Vornado fan I've ever had problems with. I'm very happy with other models, such as the regular air circulators, but don't recommend this tower model.

Pass Tower Fans and go straight to the standard circulators
on July 26, 2016

There is nothing great about this product compared to the standard air circulators. In only a few moths of use, the power switch activates the fan motor with a loud grinding groan. This goes away with a second touch of the power switch. To assure the tower fan is completely off, I have included a power strip and I am using that to turn the fan on/off. Even with the power strip, it still moans and groans on start up until the fan power switch is touched. Otherwise, it does work. I have not complained formally even though this has a five year warranty, because I don't really want Vornado to replace it with another unit that will be just as unsatisfactory. In the future, I will only purchase the standard air circulators. This product replaces an Hitachi Tower Fan which ran reliably from 1998 to 2016 (18 years). The Vornado Tower Fan has been very disappointing in comparison and even more disappointing because it has the Vornado name on it.
Pros: Compact, Lightweight
Cons: Flimsy, Loud, Onoff Switch Failed

Screw and washer falls out of package

Product works as expected. A screw and washer fell out of the plastic bag holding the fan as opened it. There is a rattle in the body of the fan. Does not inspire confidence.
Pros: Seems To Be Working As Ex
Cons: Pieces Fell Out Of Packag
