This is the third Vornado vintage air circulator we have purchased. We have an older home with radiant hot water heating and thus no duct work for central air conditioning. The 1924 home is made of stone so it remains cool for the most part. On a particularly warm day/evening the Vornado air circulator keeps the home nicely cooled. We have one in each of the bedrooms in our home. It's quiet and keeps the rooms cool and comfortable. The retro design looks great in our Arts & Crafts home.

Great fan! Very easy to operate and looks very nice also. I read through the recommendations on room placement and found that the fan worked best when following the provided suggestions. I have also had many compliments on the fan. I was aware of this fan prior to receiving it, but would certainly recommend it.
Pros: Looks unique. Heavy duty

Perfect fan for a living room

On a hot day where temperatures reach 90 degrees, this fan is the perfect addition to my living room. The noise doesn't bother me because the television is always on, but you will notice some sound if you are reading a book. It's a huge fan and something I wouldn't want to lug around between the living room and the bedroom. That's where the smaller version comes in handy.

Ahhh So Good even the Dog can't get Enough!

I love this fan! I wasn't so sure at first about the retro appearance but i have really grown to like and appreciate it. I also can't get my dog out from in front of it. On the low setting it's a calm, cool breeze and it settles her. I love that it has three settings to choose from. I did think it was a little noisy on the high setting but the amount of air it was pushing totally made up for it!

This fan could not have come at a better time! In Texas, we are experiencing 100+ degree weather right now. I can honestly say the VFAN Sr has made a huge difference. Upstairs usually says a little warm compared to downstairs. I have it positioned in the game room near an AC vent and it circulates the air in the room and makes it much cooler. The vintage/retro look of the fan is cool and matches my decor, it's very quiet, and packs a powerful punch. I'm looking at purchasing one after only using it for a week.
Pros: All season use., Built solid., Circulates air well., Made of metal., Very powerful., quiet., uses little power.
Cons: A little heavy., Does not oscillate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fresh breeze from the past ☺️

As a child of the 50s and 60s I grew up in a home with one of these iconic whirlwind fans that was part of the family floor over 25 years. Virtually the only difference back then was the switch gold switch mounted to the front stand inserted of the back off the motor housing and the metal fan blades. It was a substantially larger fan back then and a heaven send when homes did not have AC.
Vornado has done an excellent job of bringing the "lean green fannin' machine" back from both a lasting superb design standpoint and from the nostalgic perspective. Other Vornado fans have been in my home since then, better than most department store fans; but, nothing as cool as this!
Oh, and my support dog, Bear, absolutely loves it at night as we share the air.
