Can,t improve on perfection

I was very skeptical about claims made by Vornado ie air circulators rather than fans. How they are designed to move air throughout a given space. I purchased a small Vornado not ever having heard of them before even though i'm a baby boomer. I simply could not believe how much air it throws around a room, not at all like a fan!! Having discovered their on line site I decided that I could not live with out the VFAN SR. I love retro i bought the Big Dog in chrome. Since buying the fans I've been able to retire a 42" tower fan and large box fan. Currently using the small circulator in a medium size living room and the Big Dog in a bedroom 12x24. Will never go to a different manufacturer again I'm happy to say. :)

Cool Air and Cool Style

I had never heard of the Vornado VFAN Sr but now it's a brand I respect. When I first opened the package, I noticed the color of course. It's a very cool retro style fan and the color would have matched my parents' kitchen when I was a toddler. That's not a bad thing. The color is awesome. It really commands attention and looks very well constructed. In fact, the first thing my wife said to me after seeing it was "It's so beautiful." Not only does it look great, it works great too. Even on the lowest setting the room we were in dropped in temperature considerably. It's also very quiet for how powerful it is. If you need a fan and want something with real flare, get this fan. It's awesome.
Pros: cool look., quiet.

A blast from the past.

This is another high quality offering from Vornado in their line of retro metal air circulators. I really appreciate the availability of new, reproduction products from Vornado. I like that these vintage designed units can be set on the floor and aimed straight up to mix the room air and achieve a uniform temperature summer and winter. It is a great alternative to a ceiling fan. I do miss the absolute silent operation of the vintage fans achieved with the helical tri-blade design vs the plastic 5 blade reproduction units. The greatest thing about the Vornado is that it really works? Unlike a big box fan that makes a lot of noise and moves very little air, ALL the Vornado products shoot a beam of wind any direction you aim them! Vornado really makes a superior air circulating machine.
Pros: Durable, Good Power Output, Retro Design

Couldn't love it more

We live on the top floor of a three-story house with no air conditioner. We have one window unit in the kitchen, and the Vornado manages to blow that cool air all over the top floor. I was miserable last summer and I am delightfully cool. It is also great when we point it blowing out of our bedroom door, so that a breeze comes in through the window. My friend who teased me when I said I bought an air circulator ("You mean a fancy fan?"), was shocked by how well the Vornado works. It is also BEAUTIFUL. It makes me happy to look at it. I highly recommend the Vornado, and we might even buy a second one for our bedroom.
Pros: Beautiful, Effective, Good Power Output

Great fan

I love my new fan it is quite and moves a lot of air ..only thing I wish they would come out with a bigger model like the ones from the 40s I have a original Vornado fan from the 1940s it still works today all I ccan say is great product well made

We loved the fan as soon as we took it out of the box! We love the vintage and design! I wasn't so sure how it would work at first, but I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised! We took the fan with us in our RV for a week of camping and it kept the whole camper very comfortable, without the use of the a/c! We used the fan at night to keep the air circulating in our bedroom and it worked great. We don't have a ceiling fan in the room, but I was able to direct the air by tilting the fan and it kept us cool and comfortable all night. Since we have been home I have been using the fan in our living room to keep the air circulating without having to turn the a/c down too low. It has done a fantastic job! I used it on high during the day and on low at night.
Pros: Easy To Use, Variable speeds, direct airflow up/down, small, but powerful, super cute vintage style
Cons: Doesn't Rotate, Loud on High Speed

Great Fan! Works Excellent!

This was a great addition to the one window air conditioner that we use. It was quiet and stylish all at the same time! Moved a lot of air around and was less bulky than the huge box fan that we usually used.
