I’ve had the fan for a month and a half and I love it. It is built to last. My grandchildren will be using this fan. It makes just enough noise to keep me sleeping. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a remote.

We love this tall white vintage fan. It’s sturdy and well worth the price.

Even though after three years, ours died, Vornado replaced it quickly with a new unit! Amazing support. American company. Will continue to buy from 100% Beautiful, retro fan. Recommended.

I’ve had this fan for about 3 years now. I have a standard 10x12 room and it cools the whole room. I always leave it running and never turn it off. It runs seamlessly and fires right up everytime. I firmly believe our ancient ancestors slept with this fan. It’s the only way. It’s the right way. Feels as though you and the fan become one as you sleep. Also very stylish, would recommend to a friend.

There are fans and there are FANS!

If hurricane winds are what you need, buy a Vornado! If you are a woman experiencing hot flashes, you know exactly what I mean. If you are wanting to ditch that cheap, plastic and just plain ugly fan, invest in whatever model of Vornado you are currently eyeballing. Yes, Vornados are more expensive but you truly DO get what you pay for. If vintage is your preferred eye candy, buy the vintage Vornado. As for reviews complaining about noise levels, I can only assume these are people who are stingy with 5 star reviews or have never owned a fan. Maybe these reviewers are new to planet earth and have no idea how a fan works? Yes, there is a hum because fans have motors. If you need a fan but require complete silence, do not buy a Vornado. Matter of fact, do not buy a fan, period! Probably best to just forget about them and suffer in blessed silence while the rest of us are enjoying our Vornados.

The fan that made memories for me

As I grew up, visiting my grandparents’ home that had no air conditioning, she would turn the Vornado on in the living room. And I would lie down on the floor. And the sound of it would put me to sleep, period. Summers in Georgia are hot and of course the wind felt good, but the sound of the Vornado, for me, was magical as it lulled me to nap. That is the main reason I bought this fan. Expensive for a fan? Yes. But already, I have fallen in love with my VFan Sr because of the flow and more importantly, the sound. Even my cat is lying there under the fan I believe because he is lulled off to sleep. My AC thermostat is set higher because the air movement is so comfortable that I don’t have to use it as much. Ask me if I love my VFan and you get a resounding yes. It took me years to purchase, because of the price, but I finally did and am as happy as a lark.

Best fan ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best fan on the market and I couldn't be more satisfied with it. The style is almost exactly the same as the original Vornado fans from the 1940s. This is a three speed fan. First speed is very soft and almost silent whereas third speed moves quite a lot of air and the fan is a bit loud. The second speed is the sweet spot. It moves a lot of air and has a pleasant hum. The only noticeable difference between this and the old 1940's Vornado fans are the blades. The newer model has plastic blades but the rest of the fan is metal and it's solid. The fan comes well packaged with a nice user manual which explains how the fan works and how to position it for each season. Assembly only took five minutes.
Pros: Durable, Good Power Output, Quiet, Stable Base
Cons: Heavy
