Beautiful and awesome.

This is a beautiful product, the base assembles fairly easy and it is sturdy. I love this fan, I only wish it was made here. After I assembled it and turned it on it made a noise, I checked and noticed that the cap that holds the blades was loose so I had to remove the grill and tighten it. The grill is not easy to remove, I wish they will find an easier way to fasten it to the frame. Overall, I love this fan and recommend it very strongly.
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Good Power Output, Stable Base

Great Fan, Poor Internals

This product would be an easy 5/5 if the internals were of a higher quality. Unfortunately, within the span of six months, I have already had to make two warranty claims. The issue seems to be that the internals are of a poor quality. Something is prematurely wearing inside the motor and it causes a loud whirring/scraping/grinding noise. The same issue has presented itself on two separate fans now. I appreciate Vornado's warranty and the process for making a claim is relatively easy. However, I am of the mind that the product should be up to par in the first place and warranty claims should be a last resort. Even though the warranty process is relatively easy, you still need to wait for your replacement product to arrive, so you go several days without a fan. The fan has a great design and when it works, it works quite well. Sadly, the cheap mechanical parts inside the unit let down what would otherwise be the perfect fan. I also have a Vornado VFan Alchemy and that unit has been dead silent for the past two years. If Vornado were to make an Alchemy version of this fan, and assuming it were built to the same quality standards as the rest of the Alchemy line, I would buy it in a heartbeat. For what it's worth, this particular fan is not actually manufactured in the USA. Not sure if that has something to do with the quality, but just putting that out there for people who are looking into purchasing this fan.

This is the second one I've purchased. I have an "L" shaped living/dining room. I have one fan pointed one way and the other fan on the other side of the room pointed in the opposite direction. They move the air great and look fantastic!

You might think this is a perfectly preserved air circulator built in the era of FDR, and The New Deal, when laborers were well-paid and appreciated for their excellent work. It has that kind of quality and workmanship! This is made to last a lifetime, like so many of the post-war machines I've inherited from my dad and grandpa.
