Great Idea, Great Light!

I've been using the Powerlight and Site Lights for the interior lighting of my Vardo wagon for the past 3 years. Whether it's lighting the inside of my house, around a picnic table or as a flashlight, this has never let me down. And the ability to charge electronics has saved me once or twice! I love this and just ordered the Baselantern and Site Light Minis to improve my outdoor lighting...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great features! Mild drawbacks

I love how bright the light is- it definitely outshines by far the one on my iphone! (e.g. used it to illuminate the propellers on the Queen Mary in the dark, and to see a spider that did not show up under the cell phone light). I bring it everywhere with me since it also doubles as a charging device, and have taken it camping with great results- it was the brightest light out of my flashlight collection, and allowed us to play board games in the evening (: The only drawbacks I see about the item is that it charges my iphone 7 twice instead of three to four times like the website says it does, it heats up a bit when charging, and it doesn't charge a phone while plugged in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Power failure Back-up

Had purchased one before with the Nano Grid Light Kit. I've used it during power outages to get around the house without stepping on the cat. I Was able to charge my phone, to call power company, and still have enough to read by (low power setting) until power came back on 6 hours later. Can't wait to take it with me to hunting camp.

Love my little light! I bought the Biolite mini for camping. Great light but it couldn’t fully charge my phone and still be able to be used as a light. So I bought the Powerlite. It gives a beautiful happy light and it fully charged my phone with enough battery life to still be used as a light!! Love it

Peace of mind

I'm still waiting to use this for the purpose purchased for. It's fully charged hanging on my bakers rack. I bought this for when the power goes out. I can grab it to access the alarm control, fire extinguisher, first aid kit or can grab it to access the back porch or garage. The power goes out here too many times, but since I have this … not once. Plan to purchase a few more to strategically have around the house. This gives me peace of mind, knowing it's here and don't have to worry about changing the batteries in an emergency situation. I take it when I travel. I tell you what, BioLite makes products you can trust, that are as multi tasking as we are, and have amazing - lasting power. I do suggest that you play with this a few times to learn it before you find yourself in the dark.

Started out with Biotite for the stove. Still have original version, plus a bunker full of other Biolite gear. Good stuff! Mostly made in China now, but what isn't?
The PowerLight, is my favorite! Use it all the time, everyday. Like the double click function to be able to light just one side of the lantern. And also able to use dimmer from same button. Handy! Biggest welcomed surprise...... one charge lasts forever! (almost) Use it daily and lasts for a couple of months. Lantern mostly, but flashlight as well. Flashlight is way bright! And feels good in the hand. The hanging bracket a bonus can support lantern at any angle. How awesome is that? And oh yeah, can dish out a phone charge!
Bought mine last year, like said, daily use. So ordered two more, to keep in each vehicle and for summer campouts ( yeah the mini's work great with it too)
Upon arrival one PowerLight had a flaw in the seal around the upper plastic lantern lens. I let Biotite know, and are sending out a replacement, no questions asked! Can't beat that!
Lastly, am thrilled about Biolite and their innovation. No more pickup loads of batteries to fill landfills!!!
