Battery Defective

Worked one backpacking trip. Very difficult to charge via bioLite stove. Hours and hours of stove use could not top it off. Then it only worked as lite next spring and by time for next back packing trip it would not hold charge and is heavy and useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely Loved mine, But it Died suddenly!

Had this for a couple months and absolutely loved the capability. Used the torch to walk my dog at night. Used the flashlight to work on the car. Even was able to use the charger to recharge my wireless headphones while camping. The way it pairs with other smaller lights adds a really cool camo vibe too! Super bummed to have the battery shoot craps all of a sudden without any damage or dropping it or anything.
Now it just flashes when charging and will never hold a charge. Sad story as I absolutely loved it when it was functioning! But too pricey to be so fragile and break on a whim :(
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great light but fails as power bank

I love the item and the different light settings, but the times I tried to use it as power bank I learned not to consider that function. Even though the battery of the latern was fully charged it didn't give my phone half of charge. As one brightly promoted feature is the power bank feature I only give three stars. If you promote a latern also as power bank than make sure it holds your promise!

It’s a great tool when outside in the dark. It can charge your devices & chain the other BioLite products. Different modes are a good feature.

Doesn't work right after only two years

I bought the full Nanogrid package and like it a lot, both the Powerlight and Lantern. I stored most of the biolite stuff and used it with my small RV. With the recent Derecho passing though the area I found myself using the lights in my home. Issue is the Powerlight lasts maybe 4 hours just using the site minilights. Shows 4 power and is fully charged. After about 3 hours of use, only one power light flashing and all lights flash when turned back on like it is out of power. I go to plug it in and it bumps back up to 3 power

Light works hood but it arrived broken. The top part has a small plastic part that stick out and you can see there’s a tiny screw and where the screw goes. That part broke

Good flashlight, bad iPhone charger

Solidly built, a little complicated to learn how to run all the buttons when the unit is hooked up with other Biolite lights, but a nice unit. Easy to inadvertently lock it when using the dimmer option. Makes it seem like it's out of power but it's really locked. A bit on the heavy side. Does NOT charge an iPhone 11, so it gets docked one star.
