Perfect Biolite companion

This kettle is a great addition for a trip with the Biolite. I'm stubborn when it comes to changing my backpacking gear but this was an easy decision. The KettlePot is a great multitasker in that it protects the Biolite in transit and illuminates my bulky camping pot.
I made one improvement by taping a 5.25" X 16" (133.35mm X 406.4mm) piece of corrugated cardboard (from a pizza box) to help retain heat and reduce boiling time.

The pot is very light and very durable. I like that it can be a container for my biolite campstove2, and it comes with a bowl inside the pot , so everything can be packed inside into the pot, save so much spaces for my backpack. Just one thing be caution is when cleaning the bottom part of the pot be careful of the edges, it is very sharp and it did a pretty deep cut to my finger.

Good size, rugged, easy to clean. I have only used the kettle pot in winter conditions so far. It works great. Stable, efficient and safe. Does not add much weight or size to the pack when nested with the biolite stove and there is a bit of room in the system for matches and an emergency fire starter. Its also easy to clean. The baffle on the bottom is a great wind break and it also detects flair-ups away from the power pack and user if you get a little carried away with the birch bark :)

I got both the biolite camp stove and kettle before a cross country road/camping trip. To say it was easy to use is an understatement. Even when filled to max, the kettle boils very quickly and is easily refueled. The little holes at the bottom of the kettle make it easy to feed in sticks as the fire is going. If you are considering buying the camp stove, I highly suggest getting the kettle. Yes, other kettles may be cheaper, but they won't be as stable, as easy to clean, or as compact.

So dope! It for sure was larger in person than online but this biolite stove with kettle pot is a luxury backpacking stove. Able to charge your phone for pictures is one of my favorite features and the you have the great attachments to cater to your type of eating!

I bought a second KettlePot to replace one that got lost years ago. Have not had the opportunity to use the new one yet, but the old one was indispensable on many camping trips and days when the power went out at home
