I like biolite but _

I use Biolite stove every day since 5 months in my bicycle travel, now i have the kettle pot since 2 months. I really like the biolite system but the kettle pot it's really to long for boil 1L of water ! Almost 15min every time !

Kettlepot - very clever

Brilliant design . Biolite stove packs inside and the pot fits very securely on top of the stove. Cooks very quickly . The base directs all the heat back inwards so very little energy from the stove lost. Also very surprised how much you could fit in the pot. Deceptively big. Great addition to my ever growing biolite collection. Several friends already bought their own after being impressed on camps .

Purchased Biolite for camping and back up in emergencies. I also keep in vehicle during winter as a survival heater, power source. I am very pleased with the kettlepot, makes an efficient and safe method of food preparation for both camping and emergencies. In fact, I was so pleaded with the product that I purchased the complete set for all 3 of my adult children.

boils quick, nests well

bought for bike touring. it nests well with the stove. the kit, fits in a 4 liter dry bag and mounts on a Salsa anything cage perfectly. total package is a bit heavier than typical but is steadfast and doesnt leave me needing to portage or shop for fuel when touring.

Excellent kettle!

This kettle paired with either the Basecamp or Biolite campstove heats up quickly and efficiently. The amount of water heater is perfect for multiple cups of tea for a decent sizes group of people, or it is enough for using in cooking and baking. We have been using this kettle for over a year and are thrilled with it. I only hope that Biolite come out with a pizza/bread oven style component next I would love to be able to bake while camping.

GREAT DESIGN!

I love the KettlePot! Of course, the obvious thing is that the stove nests inside the pot to have a single bag to carry, but the design goes way beyond that!
Note the holes at the bottom. Not only do they allow space for the flames to come out, but you can also feed the stove through them (only small items, though; you still have to lift the pot to put larger sticks in). Also the holes provide a catch for 100% of the soot! The patina (purplish color change) on the outside is only from the heat. You can rub your hands across the holes and they're still clean. You'd have to reach up under the KettlePot, inside the holes, before you'd get soot on them.
In spite of its large size, it gets hot very fast. I can boil an ENTIRE carton of 12 eggs faster on my BioLite than I can in the house on the stove.
There are only 2 small negative things. First, the stove plus the kettle weighs more than I'd carry on trips over 5 miles. But I'm going on a 1-mile trek into the woods next month, and I will carry the pair for that.
Secondly, there's a disk that glued to the underside of the top of the KettlePot lid, and mine popped off during my 2nd use of it. But it was a quick epoxy job to put it back on. No worries! It's trekking on....

Love this System

I purchased the entire cooking system several years ago, including the kettle and fry pan. I love the compact design which is easy to backpack with. I have even used mine to cook local caught trout. Wonderful system.
