Was glad to see that Swissgear still made this model , It replaces a faithful ujit that has logged by my estimate well over 125K miles of flights including about 300 yards of cobblestones in Venice. The replacement model has several upgrade including a more ergonomic handle and a larger liquid prove zip interior bag.
Swissgear for a product line is probably the best in the travel industry.

The materials this case are made of are great. I have purchased many cases over the years and some don't even make 1 trip in careless hands of airport baggage handlers without showing damage. I hope to use this for many, many years to come.

This particular (teal) case was a present for a friend's birthday after I used a nearly-identical one (different color) on a 6 week trip to Australia and New Zealand in early 2023. Rating my bag, this case survived 7 flights, 4 rental cars, a cruise, and 10+ hotels/lodges/B&B's all on one trip. All the wheels worked well and did not break or jam. The side handle is a big help when loading/unloading. Some other case designs have more of an "upper" compartment where this one is mostly one big compartment. We found that using compression packing cubes that were about 14" x 10" fit very well in this case like books on a shelf making for efficient packing. I had about 47 pounds in this case on this long trip. Looking forward to using this case many more times for both international and domestic travel and trust my friend will get as much good use out of their gift!
