This is by far the most unreliable product I’ve ever purchased. Creative interior design of both the refrigerator and freezer allowed for maximum storage, don’t be impressed. Word of warning with this KitcheAid: a well-stocked refridge means more food perishes when it decides to stop working, AND IT WILL decide to stop working on MANY occasions. Trouble free for almost 3 years, but within the next 18 months it has required repairs on 8 occasions. Even with an extended warranty, it’s still annoying to come home to a refrigerator full of spoiled food, and then wait for up to a week for the repairs to be completed. The ice maker needed repairs multiple times, but honestly I can live with that. The freezer has stopped working while the refrigerator continues to cool, on other occasions the refrigerator has stopped cooling and the freezer works. The water line inside refridge split and leaked all over the interior, rear circuit boards and front control panels have been replaced, the entire back of the refrigerator was removed to replace the coils and then a Freon leak…it never ends. Do yourself a favor, continue shopping for another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

lot's of ice build-up
