This was the first refrigerator we purchased new and we had high expectations. We love that you can open either top door singularly (in other models/ brands you have to open both doors every time) and the 3 tier freezer drawer system. The "measured fill" option is also fantastic.
The water & produce filters are easy to replace (though pricy & it's harder to find generic brands) and the water/ice maker works well. Some complained about the noise but we don't find it any louder than other refrigerators we've used.
The one thing that is bothersome is the touchpad. You have to push very hard and deliberately for it to register. I can see that becoming an issue down the line as those types of components never seem to fair well and are pricy to repair.

We bought this for our new kitchen. It looks very classy. The digital water dispenser with the amount displayed makes it so handy for filling multiple glasses or when I need to add water to a recipe. I can easily find the food. It doesn't become forgotten in the back and spoil. The three drawers in the freezer make it simple to organize and find frozen food. I'm not constantly digging into that skinny space of my old side by side and dropping frozen packages on the floor. We are very happy with our new refrigerator.

We have had this refrigerator for a year now and I love it. It's very bright and spacious. My fruits and vegetables stay fresh and last a long time. I love the water dispenser - the measured water fill is great for cooking, I rarely use measuring cups anymore!!! The freezer is also very spacious and has 3levels for storage.

It is nicely designed and stores a good amount of food. The unfortunate part is the noise coming from the water filter. I changed the filter and the noise did not go away. Then I called a serviceman who came out and told me there was basically nothing to do "it was just a noise". I was called a day later and informed that an estimate, which I wasn't expecting would be around 600.00 and would not guarantee the removal of the noise. Not so nice now. We are really disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the looks and features of my new Kitchen Aid Refrigerator. I really like the design and arrangement of the drawers and the lighting. The freezer is the best design I have ever had. The drawers really make arranging foods easy to store and easy to find later. The ice maker works great and it is nice that it is in the door which allows more room inside for shelves. Great design.

We've had the refrigerator for about a month now. Last week I thawed a beef roast in the refrig and (my bad) didn't put it on a plate. It leaked all over the refrig section. It was complicated to take apart for the first time, but if you go slowly and patiently (and do it when there's not blood dripping) you'll find it's put together in a clever manner. Just make sure you put thawing meat into something sealed, I know I will in the future.
