We really enjoy the bottom freezer of this French door refrigerator. It is the best choice for our kitchen configuration. We have had 3 KitchenAid refrigerators in our lifetime & many Whirlpool appliances...never have we been disappointed, nor have we been bothered with lots of repairs. Why would we ever change brands? Our last KitchenAid side-by-side refrigerator was 14 yrs old with NEVER a repair except a light. A friend is now using it & she loves it, as much as we love our new French door refrigerator. The filter is much easier to change than the older models. That's a good thing....

I've had the French door refrigerator for a month or so. I love the stainless steel and the design of the refrigerator. The only negative is to access the snack drawer you have to open both doors, but that is a minor issue. I got this size because it has additional space and meets all my needs.

We remodeled our kitchen about two months ago and replaced all of our appliances, mostly with KitchenAid products. This refrigerator seemed to be just what we needed, but unfortunately we have already had a problem with it. The defroster in the refrigerator froze shut and we ended up with water on the kitchen floor three times before a repairman was able to come out. He used a steamer to thaw it out, but the verdict is out on whether or not this is a permanent fix for the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this march 1st. The ice maker went out in a few days but everything was fixed and now couldn't be happier. Lots of space for any food plus lots of drawers in freezer and refrigerator area. I love the water dispenser that tells you how much your dispensing

I bought this fridge for my new home. I love the looks of the fridge. The only thing that I can say bad about it is the ice maker doesn't make ice fast enough. We have lots of teenagers with friends and we are always running out of ice.

Really poor product design

Bought this about 1.5 years ago and we are not waiting on our 4th service appointment for the same problem. Freezer doesn't keep anything frozen, ice maker stops making ice and drips water everywhere and every single time they have tried something different and it never works. We have had pretty good experience with Kitchenaid products before but this item has soured us on buying their brand again
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
