Nice looking frig, too bad it didn't cool anything

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DEAD ON ARRIVAL: Our frig arrived and was unboxed. The delivery person indicated that it needed to sit upright for 24 hours before operation in order to allow the refrigerant to re-distribute to the upright position. Once plugged in, the frig appeared to go through the usual cycles.
Everything seemed to work except for one very important aspect. It doesn't cool anything!!! (Needless to say it also doesn't make ice).
Now we are waiting for parts and repairs.

The lighting is excellent. The three drawers in the freezer allows us to see all the food easily and prevent food from being hidden under layers of food.

We moved into a new house and needed a frig to match. I had never had the "newer" style of frigs. It is a nice frig. However, there was a indentation in the gasket around the freezer drawer that had to be replaced bc it allowed the freezer to frost and let air in. I do recommend the white interior bc it is brighter versus the platinum (grey) which is dark. I wish it had been offered in a finger printless version. Way hard to keep clean.

This is a very nice refrigerator! However the ice maker leaves a lot to be desired. I have put it on max ice but it re-sets to regular ice production and I have to keep setting it back to max ice.

Purchased 2 months ago and love the design and features. Its quiet, the doors open easily and close without the slam noise. The extra added space is great. My husband and I have decided to change all of our major appliances to KitchenAid. I am anxious to have the dishwasher we purchased installed and hope for the same satisfaction as our fridge provides.

Alarm should go off after 5 minutes when the door is left open. It didn't go off after 15 minutes. For an expensive refrigerator you would expect better quality. The alarm did go off the first time but not any more. 4 out of 4 KitchenAid appliances have broken in less than 2 months. The trash compactor (professionally installed) motor switch broke the 1st week and still has a design problem as it pops out to the right, the dishwasher didn't work the first time after professional installation. Microwave no longer heats food. Bottom refrigerator door had a ding in it which has been replaced. I still haven't gotten the range after ordering it nearly 3 months ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This model had to have the ice maker replaced after 3 months use...The unit has a HORRIBLE humming/roaring noise..It drives us crazy when it is quiet in the house...
