Wasting water

We just installed this nugget ice maker in the last month and have now discovered that it's dumping 5 gallons of water in less than 48 hours when it's not even producing new ice. This doesn't seem right or normal. I am unable to determine if this is working as designed in which case I am going to need to return this environmentally unfriendly ice maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When your storage bin is full, the unit will turn off and not circulate water. So if water is being used, it is not working as intended. Stopped working in less than a year.

Failed in 6 Months

Failed in 6 months
Out of the box, this ice maker was making strange noises. This is the third ice maker I have owned in 15 years. The first two lasted about 7 years each. This one failed in 6 months. Service Tech showed up, ordered parts which then were shipped to my home. The second visit, he installed the parts. Then realized he needed more parts. Now 6 weeks later, still no ice making. Still no parts. Parts are now back-ordered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Ice... but endurance matters too......

So I bought this for what I hope to be our final home... Worked very well for about a year..Then I changed the water filter, and now the pump just runs continually... My research says to replace the pressure switch...? It would be nice to at least have a comprehensive repair blog on here, if you're not going to warranty it for more than a year. That way, your customers can at least be able to fix them themselves... to make up for your lack of willingness to either warranty this Expensive Appliance, or replace the parts that fail.....
