Love the ice, not the ice maker!

Love the nugget ice for sure. But…the ice maker ‘screamed’ the worst sound ever. Finally had a plumber diagnose the problem. Water pressure was too high. Totally fixed that issue. Now it won’t drain and then machine just shut off. Can’t turn it back on. GE repair sent a very kind gentleman to fix it. He had never worked on this machine before. I had to tell him what I read on another site to help him ‘fix’ the problem. It was a switch. Machine worked for 24 hrs and now it isn’t working again! Now what? Same guy to fix what wasn’t fully fixed in the first place?

We absolutely love the nugget ice. Cools drinks fast and I like that I can easily chew it. We won't ever buy another type ice maker.

love the nuggets!

This ice maker replaced a scotsman cube ice maker. Installation was easier with the water line connection outside on the upper right of the unit. Came with the necessary crush connectors. This unit is quiet and quickly makes the ice nuggets.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes Great soft ice

Love the ice this machine makes, small soft nuggets. The machine makes the ice fast, and is quiet. While I give this machine five stars, there are two things to understand if you are interested. You should have a gravity drain, there is a pump option ($500), but if you lose power for an extended period, you have an issue. Make sure your plumber understands how and where to install the drain, and you have access to position the drain if you need to pull the machine out. We ended up putting an access panel in the cabinet next to the ice machine. Second the door is not included. You need to order the right door panel for your install, and additional $300. Know what I know now, I would recommend this ice machine, just know it is not plug and play.
