QUIET MACHINE, GREAT CAPACITY. 2ND MACHINE SUCH AS THIS WE'VE OWNED. MAINTAIN IT WELL AND IT WILL LAST FOR YEARS! ICE MAKES DRINKS TASTE BETTER.

Makes Great soft ice

Love the ice this machine makes, small soft nuggets. The machine makes the ice fast, and is quiet. While I give this machine five stars, there are two things to understand if you are interested. You should have a gravity drain, there is a pump option ($500), but if you lose power for an extended period, you have an issue. Make sure your plumber understands how and where to install the drain, and you have access to position the drain if you need to pull the machine out. We ended up putting an access panel in the cabinet next to the ice machine. Second the door is not included. You need to order the right door panel for your install, and additional $300. Know what I know now, I would recommend this ice machine, just know it is not plug and play.

Best Nugget Ice

This ice maker makes great ice & keeps on top of our high usage esp during the warm summer months. It’s also quiet. Ours has the cabinet panel on front & looks great in the kitchen. When friends come over that’s one of the first things they want is nugget ice from this machine. We have another ice maker in the refrigerator & this is still the all-time fav.

No exterior stainless steel door

The icemaker itself makes great ice! But the icemaker it self came without an exterior stainless steel door and handle. We were told that we would have to pay extra for the door and handle. Therefore, for now it sits in our Brand new kitchen like this! not a satisfied customer! I would totally have recommended IF I had a door! We have purchase numerous Ge products without a problem until this ice maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes Lots of Ice, Fast.

It makes lots of ice, quickly; and keeps up with production as it is getting used. It was very quiet when first installed, and ran that way for about 6 months; since then it has a whining noise to it and the interior light decides when it wants to come on. Time for a service call.
