Basic dishwasher

I purchased this dishwasher through my home warranty company. It is a basic machine that gets the job done. It runs fairly quietly (definitely not the quietest on the market), which is a nice change from the one it replaced. I don't like the rack; I'm used to being able to cram a lot of dishes into the machine, but with the shape of these racks I load fewer dishes per load and seem to have wasted space where nothing fits.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our old one was better.

This dishwasher was purchased by our insurance company to replace our older model. It is supposedly comparable to what we had.
Pros: It looks nice from the outside, low profile and easy to clean. It is relatively quiet, but then, we were used to an oldie but goodie that was pretty raucous.
Cons: The normal wash function doesn't even clean. In order to get already rinsed dishes clean we have to use the heavy wash. The spaces for the glasses on the top rack are too narrow. Our rocks tumblers and many of our other cups do not fit in the spaces allowed. If we use the bowl slots as they are designed, the bowls do not get clean. We have to use every other slot instead.

I do wish that GE had pictures of the baskets and racks for each washer so we could see them before purchasing online. That would have been helpful.

Mediocre Dishwasher

Purchased to replace another GE unit. No where near the quality, performance of previously owned product. Could not see one on store floor. Would never do a purchase without seeing and putting my hand on the product again.

PIECE OF GARBAGE

My original dishwasher's motor needed replacing. This model is what my home warranty company provided; I didn't select it. It is properly installed.
I've had this device for a month +/-. This device will clean, provided I wash dishes completely - and I mean completely - before I put them in the machine. And this is with using brand name cleaning products that were recommended with the installation information.
This thing is useless. I would give it negative stars if I could.

I received this dishwasher from my home warranty provider at no cost. Although my previous washer of the same brand was no great shakes, this one feels like a step backwards in features and performance. Smaller useful rack area and cloudy glasses are my main complaints. It reminds me of a dishwasher one might find in an apartment.

The dishwasher does a spotty job of cleaning. The soap dish opens the second you start the normal wash cycle. You need to use the pots and pans cycle to have a pre rinse and that uses unnecessary extra energy for a regular load of dishes. The interior is set up to hold a limited number of dishes. The start button is already showing signs of surface wear even though I have had the machine only a few months. Ugh. I wish I had bought a better quality dishwasher.

Trash, home insurance replacement.

My home insurance replaced my broken dishwasher with this one of "equal" value and performance. First of all it doesn't have a top level water agitator like my old one did and it does terrible job at pumping out the water, I always have puddles left behind.
