Functional and stylish

The downdraft vent allowed placement of a cooktop in a peninsula without obstructing the view with an overhead vent.
It works well except when using a large stock pot which is higher than the vent.

Previously had a Thermador downdraft and had continuous trouble with the up/down switch. Eventually the unit totally quit and I could not get it repaired. Went without for several months, and found this GE unit that fit as a replacement. Importantly, I found a local appliance installer that was experienced with downdraft ventilation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this to replace an existing GE Profile downdraft fan which failed and was repaired and then failed again. This replacement product seems to be less robust and cheapened. Just hope it lasts.
