Clean crisp color ... Great viewing

Just moved to the Honolulu area and picked this up for the house ... No regrets after 3-weeks of viewing everything from the news to pre-season football. The TV is super light weight for its size, 45lbs with its stand, and very easy to set up. Viewing is a pleasure, great color and brightness with a wide viewing angle. I paired it with the SWF-BR100 wireless sub made for the Bravia series, so the sound was kicked up a few notches as well. The sub set-up was plug and play as well; however, Sony does have a good sub set-up menu in the TVs settings menu that allows you set as much base as you can stand. All-in-all, this is a great TV, especially at this price point, and the added wireless sub makes it an even better viewing experience ... I would Highly recommend this TV to both family and friends.

Great TV, but not for wall mounting

Overall this is a great TV. Wonderful picture, great Sony interface, nice remote, awesome sound.
The poor positioning of the wall mounts at the lower half of the TV, where the electronics protrude, causes the TV to stick way beyond what it should. So aesthetically, it is a very different experience when comparing to truly flatscreen TVs which are flush on the wall.
Speakers are great, actually sound better than my Samsung sound bar.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great tv non 3D

Absolutely love this tv! This replaced a '11 LG 60" plasma that had a faulty circuit board, out of warranty & not even 3 years old, so saved my pennies & got this wonderful tv. Looked really good out of the box but a bit on the vibrant side, so tweaked the picture settings & saved them via "custom." Internet connected immediately altho didn't buy this tv for it's apps but the Sony brand & reliability etc. Connected to hdmi2/arc so got audio from the apps via my avr system. TV is thin, thin bezel, very lightweight. Wasn't sure if it'd hold up to putting my Polk CSiA6 center channel on a shelf on top of tv, but managed to get it to work. Did test the tv audio & it sounded fine to me altho I've read complaints elsewhere. Remote is rather cheap looking compared to the LG or my Onkyo but not using it anyway, have a Harmony One. Stand would've looked better if it had been polished chrome & not matte silver. I'm looking forward to many happy years of viewing with this tv!

Great TV, with great appearance.

I don't love the remote that came with the TV, it has the volume and channel buttons on the bottom, which doesn't feel natural in the hand. So I am using a Logitech Harmony 700.
The app store is a little limited, and the menu slightly clumsy.
But I also have a Samsung TV, and there is room for improvement there too.
The built in speakers are surprisingly good.
Overall I am very happy with the TV, I chose this model because the 4K tv's are still too expensive, and there is very little 4K material on the marked yet.
I compared picture quality in the store with many high end TV's, and side by side this TV is as good as any out there, it also has less soap opera effect than my Samsung.
I have owned many Sony products over the years, and they have been very reliable, hopefully this TV will prove to be the same.
Overall a great value for my use..
But I also have a Samsung TV, and there is room for improvement there too.

This TV is AWESOME! Way better than Samsung in Quality, Engineering, and Price! Before even tuning this TV the picture is EXCELLENT right out of the box. This is a MUST for the "MAN CAVE"!

Just as good as a 4K TV

don't look anywhere else...I have owed this tv for about 3 months and every day I tell my husband what a great buy we did and he so agree. Pictures are the crispest I have seen very comparable to the 4K's models we looked at and believe me you won't regret it !
