Excellent quality and speed

Have been using this printer for 2-3 months and am very pleased with it. I'm a freelance graphic designer, and the quality of the printing is superb. Once in a while it will pull two pieces of paper through at once, but other than that, the operation has been very smooth.
The only thing I'm not particularly happy about is the borderless printing feature. One, it won't allow duplexed borderless printing. Two, two of the sides print all the way to the edge, the other two don't.
I also wish it had a manual feed. These two things are the only reasons I didn't give it five stars, but 4.75 stars would be more like it.
One really neat feature that I did not expect is that when you run out of black ink, it gives you the option of compensating with the CMY so you can still print. Awesome!
Overall, I'm thrilled with the printer.

Great Printer
on September 6, 2014

I am a lawyer in solo practice for 22 years. In my office over that time period, I have used many types of printers. They all seem to burn out within a year, and the support was always terrible. Every time the printer would burn out, I would go to the closest supply store and purchase another that would burn out in a year or less. Finally, a friend who is also a lawyer and prints a lot as well told me about the Epson. I purchased one to try it out, and it was so good, that while I did not need to replace the other computers in my office, I did it anyway, and purchased this one to do work at home. I really recommend this printer to anyone who wants a great product with a low price; a printer that really holds up. Donald Drewry, Attorney at Law

Nice unit but not perfect

As expected, typical Epson print quality. The ability to handle 8x11 and 11x17 is worth it weighing as much as a small 'fridge. Only downside is printing envelopes...will someone at Epson design a paper tray JUST for envelopes so I can buy one, load it up and just swap it in when I need to print an envelope? I am tired of playing Mr.Gadget and swapping out the 8x11 paper to load 3 envelopes and then have to reload the paper afterwards...

Ledger size did it!

Working with large spreadsheets and data that was difficult to print on standard size paper made the EPSON WF7520 the perfect machine for my doctoral program and my home accounting use. The added bonus of auto-duplexing was a feature that other machines never offered and one that saves print resources and time while consolidating a lot of data into an easy to ready, easy to file document. It is wonderful to be able to print large columns in a format that can be read without magnification. I highly recommend considering this unit for other's personal use if documents require the ledger size paper stock. Ledger size truly did it for us!

WF-7520 Is A Powerhouse
on February 24, 2012

I unpacked the WF-7520 and quickly configured it to print over my network in a matter of minutes using the provided software. I immediately put it to work printing out 13 x 19 posters and photos, a task that it handled surprisingly well considering it is not a true photo printer. Even at 13 x 19 the print jobs completed quickly and no errors or paper jams. The 11 x 17 scanning came in handy. Overall this machine has performed flawlessly and with great quality.

My Experience Setting Up An Epson WF7520
on February 3, 2013

Very nice machine!
Much easier to setup than I expected. Only ran into one small problem: I loaded envelopes into Tray One instead of letter paper. When the final installation test was run I wasn't given a choice of paper trays; so, of course, setup defaulted to Tray One; and I had the letter printout delivered on an envelope! (Grrrr ....... )
Kind of annoying for what is, actually, an otherwise simple-to-do and very well thoughtout initial installation process by Epson.
Other than this, my new Epson WF7520 is the easiest to setup of all the other printers I've ever owned (and there have been a few!) Once I get the tray selection and letter thing straightened out I think I'm going to like using this new Epson printer.

wf 7520 and windows 8.1

Print Drivers do not work in Windows 8.1!!!! The menu for print that it defaults to does not have options for paper sizes supported by printer or no other advanced printer settings.
Have spent several hours down-loading updates to no avail. Looks like a wonderful machine, but if I can't get it to print 11x17 or 13x19, it is no good for me.

Ups and Downs

Because I just purchased this piece of equipment and am having some initial difficulties, I'm not inclined to recommend this YET. I hope to amend my recommendation status at a later time. I will see how easy it will be to contact customer service.
I bought the Epson WF 7520 to scan 11x17 illustrations.
Set up was prolonged and difficult. I need to call tech support in the morning about it.
WiFi is set up but I so far cannot utilize it.
Ink: After one 8x11 color sample print of an illustration, the C cartridge registered as empty and the machine would not allow me to utilize any other function including simple scanning or even check the ink levels.
THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM FOR ME ANY ANYONE WHO WILL USE THIS MACHINE MORE FOR SCANNING THAN LARGE PRINTING.
Fortunately, after removing and reinstalling the ink cartridge, I was able recommence sampling the features. This blip concerns me.
At first, the scan function worked well. Since restarting the machine, the scan bed will only scan to 8x11 and I can't figure out how to get it to rescan the full 11x14 size.
Since this is the primary reason I stepped up to a wide format all in one, it's a huge problem.
I've owned Epson printers since the late 90s and my first Photo Stylus still worked wonderfully the last time I used it so I am disappointed with the difficulties I'm having with the WP 7520.
All in all, I've spent over 8 hours trying to set up and deal with the problems.
The image quality of the scans (even the partial scans) was very nice.
The print quality is not pro quality but it is close enough for the work that I'm doing.
I hope that once I figure out how to maximize the features and functions, this will be a useful tool.
Given my prior satisfaction with Epson products, I would hate to have to return this for another brand.
