This is my first Sony 4K TV. I also have another brand Plasma TV that I thought had a great picture quality but the Sony 4K picture blows the Plasma out of the water. The TV itself is high quality, very easy to setup. I recommend the Sony brand to all my friends. In fact I just purchased a Sony BluRay player to go with the 4K TV. Thank you Sony for building great products!!!

I purchased this perhaps too early, paying over $3000 for a TV which is now, less then 5 months later, available for less than half that price. Picture is good and so far it has been reliable, just don't like the depreciation much; it's a better buy now.

This set has excellent picture, great up scaling of HD material. 4K material is outstanding. My only complaint about this set is the black levels, I can't get them inky black, on blue ray movies with the black bars on top, they're gray not black, it's distracting. Other than that this set does a great job, love watching hockey on it, and the 3D seems to work fine for me, not a big fan but it works fine to me. Overall I give it 4 stars, I would love to give it 5 but the IPS panels don't allow for deep blacks.

Ok...its been said a million different ways. And i wouldnt write this if it wasnt true. Best purchase i ever made. Only downside i see is that it actually is too big for my livingroom. Dont hear that very often huh? In order to enjoy the picture at its best, sitting further away would help.

Upconverting is great in 3D and 4K. Can't wait for broadcast/Dish and DVDs to catch up. Went through same wait with 1080P. Played with all the settings. I like to get the skin tones and sound just right. Never considered a Sony before because I thought they only made 3D TVs with active glasses. Was told by our sales guy they had passive 3D. SOLD! Beautiful picture. Happy! Had friends over for Rose Bowl faux 3D. They loved it too. Now they are coming back for college championship and Super Bowl. LOL

After 13 years our rear projection gave way. I looked at many TVs. We have a very elaborate entertainment center custom built. I do not like the new look of this "thing" mounted to a wall, no way. I contacted Sony. After measuring everything. We came up with this model. With some slick mounting and creativeness. Some trim. BAM! I love it. The colors are killer. Fantastic set.
