Immaculate 4K image quality, average UI

I have tried several 4K content from different sources and was absolutely amazed. The blacks are not the deepest but the Triluminous colors make up where the blacks a little short. The user interface, although pretty, is not the most intuitive and could use a little improvement - but still very decent. A caveat: the recent update 12/03/2014 have caused many user problems and most prominent is the failure of Netflix to launch causing the TV to reboot. If you buy the TV, refrain from updating to latest firmware until Sony addresses this known issue. Also, I have noticed that attached storage via USB, caused an interface lag and sometime the built in Media Player fails to recognize it in the first try. Sony please address these concerns. Other than those pesky software update related issues, the picture quality is vibrant and the color palette is amazing. The 4K up-scaling is superb, and rendering very smooth. The built of the frame and TV set is to high material and quality standards as you would expect from an XBR. I love this TV so Sony please fix the software/firmware issue soon (I have 30 days to return this)!
I would give it a 5 stars, minus 2 for the software issue, plus one 1 for the incredible product workmanship = 4 stars, for now.... until that firmware fix....

Hello jvpablo!, Thank you for taking the time to provide your experience with this unit. We would to advised your to try the steps available through the following link to reset your unit back to factory default settings since its a work around from the issue you are experiencing with the Netflix application keep in mind that once the software is completed it cannot go back to a previews version.
Our engineering department is already aware of this issue and it is closely working with Netflix in finding a permanent solution to this problem. We are also adding a link for the USB issue you have provide so you can try those troubleshooting steps also.

spectacular picture when 4k kicks in it's indescribable how nice this TVs image looks l would recommend it to anyone even 3d is fun to watch great software easy setup simply spectacular picture

Fabulous Picture

Beautifully made, obviously an early generation 4K TV. The build quality is outstanding. More importantly the picture quality is amazing. Everything just jumps off the screen. Colors are vivid, blacks are deep and clear. Great product to add to my 4 other Sony components.

Great TV but......

This TV is great. The color is vivid, good blacks and filled with features. Not to mention it is very pleasing to the eye.....but the juddering is out of hand....it is getting progressively worse. When watching Netflix and Directv seems to be particularly bad. I have heard of a little juddering in other reviews but this way more mild. Hey Sony.....any suggestions other than replacing it?
We are very happy with the TV, it was basically what we were looking for in a Smart TV. Great picture, and seems to be relatively easy to operate. The sound quality isn't great, any program from your DVR is very low and volume doesn't go up real loud. And set up was extremely stressful, there wasn't good instructions. My husband could not figure out how to get the channels to play after set up. After a couple of hours figured out and the TV worked fine from there on.
