Great TV

The picture and features of this TV are outstanding. I love it. I lowered my rating by one star due to the poor sound quality. This seems to be a problem with all the flat screen TV's. I bought an inexpensive Vizio sound bar and now have a top notch system!!.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slow startup and software response

Picture quality is outstanding. Period! I purchased mine with the HT-ST7 sound bar. They both complement each other well. My only gripe is the slow start up time, when turned on and the slow response of the multiple built in apps. I keep the TV updated with Sony's latest software. A TV with such an advanced technology and picture quality, Sony should have made it start up and respond faster. It's like putting the old Pentium 4 processor in a 2014 Mac Book Air.

I researched most of the brands with 4k tvs for about 6 months or so and i went with the Sony X850B.It has the best picture i have seen and the 3D works great.The upscale for 1080p is very noticeable compared to the other brands.I would highly recommend this model to anybody.

We replaced our older 1080p HDTV with this beauty. It looks terrific in our "theater" and it plays unbelievably well. Although we've only had a couple 4K programs to watch, the rest of the broadcast spectrum is gorgeous, even the B & W films on TCM. And our older Blu-Ray Sony DVD player works seamlessly with the new TV and its remote control, both of them. The only deficiency is also true of nearly every TV, the internal sound system is average at best. We added a new 5.1 audio system and now the audio matches the video. Awesome, get one, you'll not be disappointed.

This tv was easy to set up and has the most incredible picture; better than real life. Smart part is very fast. Make sure you have hd channels to get the best effect.. We are tv spoiled now.
