We purchased this to replace a 20 year old tv. My husband had it hooked up in no time. It also was a breeze to hook up to the Sony surround sound system that is over 10 years old. Fabulous picture, great sound and impressive quality! Just make sure you purchase a wall bracket that will support the weight of this tv. Also, have on hand a few 3D 4K hdmi cables. The apps on this tv are endless! We have had this tv for a few weeks now and date night with my hubby in front of the tv has became a few nights a week ladies! He also suggested that we re-arrange the furniture in the family room. It was a wonderful idea!!!

Awesome picture

Replaced a two year old Samsung HD LED TV which developed a known image issue (unknown to me until I did some research), out of warranty of course. This Sony has amazing picture quality and features. Well worth the price. I used to own a Sony XBR 2 which lasted 21 years with never an issue until the picture finally gave out.

Five Stars except for glare.

The only compliant I have is the screen really has a bothersome glare. My living room is 30% windows so glare is a problem. You do not have to purchase a $700 4K video player or buy 4K videos because it does a fantastic job of 'upscaling" 1080 videos. No additional costs for a while.

Very nice TV

This TV is very nice.
The good. It has a beautiful picture and the upscaling seems to work well. No real 4k content to watch so we'll see how well that gets when the content shows up. The sound is also very nice. Its not surround but fine for watching TV and movies. The TV is light enough for one person to pick up and mount if needed, and i really like the skype feature with video camera. Its also nice and thin, a few inches at the wide, and only an inch at the edge. I also like the RF blaster idea. It plugs into the usb and will allow you to run a wire to your box and change channels using the sony remote. Although, I'm still waiting for my box.
The bad. The internet app is terrible. While I'm waiting for my verizon box to come, I thought I would use the FIOS internet to watch Live TV. The internet app does not let you do that as it wants to open another browser to let you watch, and the Sony won't let that happen. Its similar for every TV channel out there. Now there is the Amazon Prime App which works, but the selection is somewhat limited, NBC for example has like 5 shows. There is also no way to download apps like the FIOS Mobile app which would let you watch TV. A usb keyboard does not work, so surfing the net is quite tedious as well.
