Traded up from Panasonic HD and I am very impressed with this model. Incredible picture with the upscaling of standard HD. Not to mention streaming 4K from Netflix. It is like being in the room with the people on the screen! Great touchpad remote feature as well. Even comes with two 3D glasses! Real life like colors not blasted like Samsung models. You will not be disappointed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best TV I have owned

This ultra HDTV has truly been a great purchase. It has excellent picture quality and plenty of smart features which makes your daily TV watching experience truly enjoyable. The TV was easy to setup out of the box and connect to the net and the smart remote is great.
The only complaints I have are that tv sometimes looses its connection to the network. Also, the TV speakers are not that great but this is easily fixed by connecting it to a good AVR.
But overall, I am really satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this TV.

We bought the TV after seeing our son's 70 inch. We are astounded every time we turn the set on. The picture is so crisp and sharp it is almost 3D without a 3D signal. We are very happy with the set and picture. The addition of a sound bar and sub woofer has made this a true home theater for a smallish room. This is the set for anyone who wants 4K without a large TV room.

Awesome picture! This TV has a great picture and awesome color. I already had a sound bar but if you don't have one, you will want to get one with this tv as the speakers are basic. This TV looks good whether it's on or off. The 4k is awesome. I haven't used the 3d so can't rate it. Smart tv function is great for netflix and such. The upscaling for any picture 480, 720, 0r 1080 is amazing. Can't go wrong with this tv. Buy it!

Warning!! Do not buy this TV

I also got a defective unit like the one posted earlier. There is lot of clouding. They sent me a replacement which was refurbished and that was even worse. I am thinking of going away from Sony now!!!

Great purchase

My ultra 4k is amazing. I had a HD XRB I BOUGHT IN 2007 it had a great picture, friends always said wow now that Hi Def. My new XRB 55x850b is in its own league, even thought old Sony was still great, this is HD on Steroids, Sony is untouchable when it comes to HD TVs
