Awesome 4K Again!

Purchase this model in Dec. 2013 and again in Nov.2014, love this TV.. Best Picture color of all the rest brands out there, Awesome when mounted on wall!

great 4K tv

before I got this TV, I tought that human eye cant tell the difference bewteen 1080p and 4K if the video source only have 1080p. after turn on this TV at home, I acknowledge that no matter if my source in from cable antenna or else where, 4K performs much better than my old sony 1080p. good deal to have it.

Excellent functional product

As a functional TV it is first class, but when mounted on the two stands/legs provided it looks like a cheap TV. I took the stand and loudspeaker from my previous Hitachi 50" Plasma set and mounted these on the SONY unit... It really does now look like a quality designed unit...

Best TV I've Owned

I had to purchase this TV as a replacement for another HD TV that could not be repaired. This is a stunning replacement! I wish there were more UltraHD material available, but the upscanned 1080i image is the best I've seen. And the true UltraHD image is jaw-droppingly spectacular. I have not tried 3-D.

Overall, a great TV. High resolution and multi-functional.
I wish it had higher quality audio speakers, yet that may be just an equalizer adjustment. I recommend adding Apple TV with a MacBook Pro Retina 15inch laptop. The performance is high quality and with Geek Squad and Sony Customer Service you are all set as far as learning and support. I am glad Sony built 4 HDMI ports at the factory. Thanks SONY!

Best 4K TV

Great for gaming, movies, sports, streaming, etc. We have had no trouble connecting the TV to our network for fast streaming and using apps. Sony NOW is a plus where you can hook up a PS3 controller and play rental games.
Issues are that it occasionally flickers or we get a black screen for a couple seconds. What we found out was there was a compatibility issue with the DirectTv satellite box we were using. An upgraded box fixed the flicker problem.
Also find the menu settings to make fine tune adjustments or do something as simple as turn the camera off or on are not intuitive. The online manual is too generic to help you resolve those type of issues.
Overall great TV that is worth the money and the time to resolve compatibility issues. Just wish Sony would take a page from Apple to make there menu system more intuitive. And increase the breadth of their online help manuals.

I dont like to have to have a receiver to be able to have decent sound. I live in a small condo and souldn't need a sound system.

Awesome picture! This TV has a great picture and awesome color. I already had a sound bar but if you don't have one, you will want to get one with this tv as the speakers are basic. This TV looks good whether it's on or off. The 4k is awesome. I haven't used the 3d so can't rate it. Smart tv function is great for netflix and such. The upscaling for any picture 480, 720, 0r 1080 is amazing. Can't go wrong with this tv. Buy it!
