Their really no words to describe what real ultra HD is. Eye Candy comes to mind . Even the old show from the 80's just look great..
Sony put so much soul in to its making. Is support all the popular media format. No more converting video formats. 4k content is not to hard to come by and will only get better as the year goes by. I steam content from my Sony mobile, Sony SLR , My old TV was also a HD but nothing like this one. Great JOB Sony

you guys think Samsung and Lg are Real Quality? think again This Model Blows all TV's in the same class WHEN IT COMES TO SONY XBR SERIES YOU SHOULD BUY IT AT THE RIGHT PRICE WITHOUT ANY QUESTIONS I CAN ASSURE ANYONE THAT LG AND SAMSUNG AND OTHERS ETC....CAN NOT MATCH THE QUALITY OF SONY'S PICTURE QUALITY i have owned LG TV'S TWICE once back in 2013 and Once earlier this month which was the 55ub9500 (so called mid-top end) the features are ok they also add it Harman Kardon speakers the problem with Korean companies is that throw tons of features and options into their Tv's so people will buy it LG on its most of the tv's have terrible Black Levels thier Backlight are always blooming imagine a watching as dark scene with extensive brightness and the Samsung Model's are good balanced but when it comes to Color accuracy SONY WINS ALL THE WAY IF THEY WERE 20 STARS il give it 20 this TV is alot easier to deal with when it comes to features, some are saying it the apps freezes this and that Usually this is an software issue which can be fixed by available software updates sony does a good job updating it's software unlike LG where you have WebOS 1.0 ANd THEY will not update it to 2.0 even though the tv can handle it my Sony 32" 3D TV the 9 kdL EX720 until now works perfectly and still get's updates LG'S UB9500 HAS A CLARITY RATE OF 1500 whats the whole Point if the Picture Quality is Terrible?AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE 3D ON THIS XBR MODEL remember Passive 3D will not output evenly on both yes the resolution is cut down by 50% for example 1 will see 1500p the other eye will see 940p unlike Samsung's and sony's older version's the powered 3d glasses were full at 1080 on each eye if i'm not mistaken then at the end most don't notice a difference it's not really a big deal long as it doing the job right SONY THE KING OF TV'S when they "borrowed" the technology from RCA they proved that they can make much better tv's with alot more brighter and colorful and enjoyable by the viewer THIS TV will not let you down SONY IS KNOWN FOR THEIR LONG RELIABILITY only a small amount of people will have issues this is TRue with most Manufacturer's make sure to buy an extended a warranty at a reasonable price this way it would save you alot of headaches i know 1 yr Manufacture warranty is not long enough i do believe it should be longer like 2 years....THIS IS simply the best tv for the money i promise that you will LOVE IT AND NETFLIX WORKS BEAUTIFULLY always make sure your routers are updated with it's latest firmware and you have higher speed of internet such as 30 mbps or above to get the best from streaming content such as NetFlix

Great tv. Great picture. My only tiny complaint is that the apps load a little slow, but very little buffering when apps are in use. My Internet and WiFi are strong 300+ mbps. I also know that the tv is not a cpu. Overall I highly recommend this tv and sony in general. Now we just have to wait for 4k broadcasting to catch up.

I am a lifelong Sony owner. I have had very good experiences with reliability. I have owned many XBR's. So far, I love the picture quality. I will have to explore the many features.

Overall, a great TV. High resolution and multi-functional.
I wish it had higher quality audio speakers, yet that may be just an equalizer adjustment. I recommend adding Apple TV with a MacBook Pro Retina 15inch laptop. The performance is high quality and with Geek Squad and Sony Customer Service you are all set as far as learning and support. I am glad Sony built 4 HDMI ports at the factory. Thanks SONY!
