Great Product!

I have had my new GE refrigerator for less than a week, and I am already impressed with the adjustable shelving and great lighting. I can see everything in my fridge. The only drawback is a little less room in the freezer compartment than my previous refrigerator. Overall, great product.

I like it, BUT...

I like my new GE refrigerator. I lost a bit of freezer apace by choosing a bottom freezer but I still like it. My only issue is that the hum of this refrigerator is louder than the previous one which was 15 years old.

Leaking water valve

This is the second GE fridge that we have purchased since Memorial Day. The first one we purchased had to get replaced due to an overrunning compressor freezing the water in the door. We opted for this model as the replacement because we didn’t want to risk running into the same issue as before. We got this unit towards the end of July from a local appliance retailer who has been the best and most helpful. Less than a month after receiving the fridge I noticed a puddle of water inside the cabinet behind the left side drawer where the water valve is. When the water on the side of the cabinet is being used the water valve leaks. We currently have an appt set up with the retailer we used for have it diagnosed and fixed as the valve itself could be leaking or one of the lines is cracked. I did the research and read the reviews and was hoping I would have better luck with GE appliances but that doesn’t seem to be the case. We bought an extended warranty and it seems like it will be coming in handy if this unit makes it out of the warranty period.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great size, brightly lit, I can see everything in the refrigerator because of the see through shelving and drawers.
