The door is so light, it doesn't close properly. If it does not shut all the way, it will freeze your items.
To shut off the icemaker you have to crawl under the freezer. If you have the icemaker on, it sometimes drops the ice to the bottom. The freezer drawer pull out gets stuck.

Best replacement refrigerator

Amazing product for the price. This refrigerator was purchased to replace a 4 yr old one by another brand. GE is known for its reliability and craftsmanship. This was not top of the line, but you feel the quality and durability in this GE appliance vs the previous other brand one we had. Every one in the office was excited and impressed with the look and quality. I have the peace of mind that I got a reliable and quality built product that will last years to come.

A regrettable purchase

I am currently sitting in my kitchen and can hear a "surging" noise coming from our refrigerator. There has already been one service call shortly after we got the replacement refrigerator last August (this is identical to the refrigerator that was not repairable that we purchased in 2017 - it lasted a mere 6 years). The only reason we got the same refrigerator is because GE has the patent on the color slate and all of our other appliances are slate. We have had issues with the stove and we had to replace the dishwasher after five years. I am thoroughly disappointed in these appliances. I will be requesting service soon.
