The water that comes out of the water spout inside the refrigerator itself tastes like rubber. The ice tastes fine but the water in the refrigerator tastes terrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like my new fridge.
Pros: I have a small space 33" w and options were limited. This fridge is not counter depth, and maximizes the available space. I do like the general layout and especially the shallow bottom drawer to place odd n ends that can otherwise get lost on a shelf. I also like the adaptable shelf that can slide back to accommodate taller items. Its nice to have the shelves split in the middle to be able to adjust one or both sides of shelves. I like the fact I can open just one side door if so desired. The water dispenser is inside on the left, so if I want water, I only open the left door. The lighting is bright and helps to see items. Having switched from a standard old fridge, I also like having the fridge portion on top (eye level) and freezer on the bottom.
Cons: It's a bit noisy. Frequently makes odd sounds. Sometimes, if lucky, its just the noise of an item inside one of the door shelves rattling, and if I move items around the noise stops.
The door shelves are a bit short, I cannot store a standard size bottle of wine upright in any of the door shelves. I use the retractable shelf option or lie it on it's side. I often bump the temp controls while reaching up to an over head cupboard. It does beep when this happens, so I am aware, but a lock would be nice. If this feature already is available, I don't know how to activate it, as a basic owners manual was not included. Came only with a quick set up guide that has a miniature image of the directory of an owners manual, and QR code to order new water filters- but that's it.
Overall components seem cheap. The shelving and support brackets as well as the freezer drawer/ components do not seem heavy duty. My last fridge lasted me 32 years, and although it was falling apart, it was still operating. Doubt this one will see that kind of life span, but am thankful to have a nice new fridge.

Beautiful refrigerator, smudge proof stainless steel is great. The only thing I don't like is the bottom drawer is nosey every time you open and close the freezer.
