This fridge is great! It has plenty of room for everything and keeps everything really cold. The freezer has a lot of room...much more than our side-by-side did.

We had our lost refrigerator (an Amana) unit at least 25 years, so were forced rather suddenly to look for a new unit. As empty-nesters, we thought we could downsize our refrigerator (from 22 cubic feet), but ended up falling in love with this nearly 25 cubic feet GE refrigerator/freezer unit. We have no stainless steel appliances in our very old kitchen, but this sleek unit fits right in, visually. It's a hair wider than our previous fridge, and several inches deeper, and the French doors are new to us, but they work just fine. The in-door storage areas are big; the shelves are wide and deep (and divided in half, left and right, for more utility. My wife loves the top right shelf (in our unit) that has a sliding front half that allows it to disappear, allowing for tall things on the shelf below (tall bottles, flowers, that sort of thing). Once it was delivered and installed, it was a breeze to set the desired refrigerator and freezer temps, and they've stayed constant since then. The freezer drawer takes some getting used to; we had a bottom freezer before, and really liked it, but it was a hinged door, not a pull-out drawer. That takes some readjusting if you're used to a door, and it does make things in the freezer more challenging to get to. The top shelf in the freezer also takes some getting used to. First, to ensure it doesn't go flying wildly in and out, there are indentations in the arms where the wheels roll in and out so that the drawer will stop. But that makes some noise, also, when the wheels drop in as you're pulling the drawer out or pushing it back in. Still, that -- and the refrigerator drawers -- do slide very smoothly, which is nice.
We're looking forward to a long and useful life of our new GE unit.

Love it - Had a Samsung that was always filling the drawers up with water - It is so nice to have one that doesn't. The lighting is so nice and bright - I an see everything. I read the one complaint was it was nosy -but I haven't really noticed that. It sounds like every other refrigerator I have ever had.

Problematic Ice Maker

For the price and size it is a decent refrigerator. However, I have had the appliance for 4 months and the ice maker is already not working. The freezer also needed adjusting. It seems a bit temperamental overall.

Ice maker and water filter

Overall very pleased.
The freezer drawer is a bit cumbersome.
