I previously had this style and when I moved and did a kitchen upgrade chose this model again except in stainless steel. It has a couple of upgrades that I like and I'm glad I chose another GE.

Both the wonderful ice maker the cold water supplied by the refrigerater have become a necessity for us in Tucson. How did we do without these features all this time!

We love our new fridge! It’s beautiful and so spacious. We love the versatility of it. There are so many different ways to configure the shelves and the drawers. It’s amazing.

Refrigerator: love the space! Freezer: hate it!

I hate the freezer!! I wish that I had known this problem before we purchased it. It squeaks every time you open it. We called a service man out thinking that maybe, when they had to remove the door and drawer to get it in the house, it had been put in wrong. The service man told us this does it when the freezer gets cold...use Vaseline!! I thought GE was a good quality appliance....apparently not. Now I have to live with squeaks every time I get into my freezer. My "other" fridge with a bottom freezer was cheaper and did not do this!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No problems whatsoever with the performance of the refrigerator , but it does make a variety of unusual noises
I saw in the manual that there is even a listing of all the noises explaining that they were normal....very unusual !
