Simple and straightforward

This is a great unit, I really enjoy that the water dispenser is inside the door of the refrigerator and that the ice maker is in the freezer, less chance of the water line freezing. The stainless steel doors make it look really nice and clean and it is the nicest unit in this price range with the features that it has.

Difficulties with certain features

During six months of usage, the following problems arose: I could not take out one of the door shelves to more it, and it broke; the doors swing open and are very difficult to open - you have to really pull on them; the handle to the door on the freezer comes off very easily and has to be repositioned to make it stay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does the job

I bought this fridge about a month ago. It was tough for the moving crew to get it into my place as my front door was not wide enough, so they have to take off the fridge doors and the some stuff on the back of the fridge, but we made it in and I'm very happy about it. So far the fridge is working fine. The appearance is good, but I have a lot of fingerprints on it, so it will be helpful if GE gives me an advice on how to clean fridge's metallic surface.

My old fridge held more food

I do NOT like the freezer on bottom feature. The stainless steel leaves marks every time someone touches it. It’s more like stainFull steel !
